ah, your problem is that that's an Exclusive pet. Mutators can only be used on Tamed pets

because that's how punnett square genetics work.
two pets with a carried trait in the same slot have a 25% chance of passing on nothing, 50% a carry (25% parent A's, 25% parent B's), 25% chance of vis (whichever of parent traits is dominant, other hidden)

for example in this case
Gene One: (NE) Regal Markings + Gene One: (NB) Tribal Stripes
=
25% NN (nothing) (N from father, N from mother)
25% NE (no vis, carried regal markings) (N from mother, E from father)
25% NB (no vis, carried tribal stripes) (N from father, B from mother)
25% BE (visible tribal, hidden regal) (B from mother, E from father)

then repeat for all other trait slots.
