Heiloh. Have y'all ever thought of a roguelike?

Yeah, that's what's happening here. Time for de lore bit. :P

A common career in this continent, and many others, is, unsurprisingly, adventuring. Every child's eyes glitter at the mention of it, as they all dream to be that way once they grow into adulthood. But no one actually speaks about the dangers of it. Death is common among them.

But another phenomenon is just as common. Thaumaturges haven't been able to figure out why, but those who die have the major chance to become anew, a revival if you will. This isn't very known to the public, and the newsfolk tend to cover it up as a miracle.

But even with that in mind, within the dungeons, within the forests, the plains, the islands, lies dangers that even the fabled ones cannot comprehend...

There are many kinds of adventurers, often sorted into countless "classes" to show what they're able to do. Many also are sorted into "elements": of Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, Dark, and Neutrality.

Rulings
Classes don't matter too much, but there is one that slightly matters. The Etherweaver.
Think of it as a lore-based class, in a way. One isn't required, but only one is allowed.

Each character can have a "passive" ability and an "active" ability. Go wild with these, but don't make 'em busted, as in like "oh am god now screw you rules".

This is more RP focused than numbers focused, but I will be rolling dice to avoid complex number thingies. So, again, go wild, and have fun!

The sheet:
[Name]
(Names, duh)
[Nickname, if Any]
(Optional.)
[Gender]
(You can include sexuality under this, not that it's needed. Speaking of, I'm fine with character-to-character romance, but keep it PG-13 at worst. I don't wanna get banned here.)
[Appearance]
(Image or description, though preferably both since images hate me.)
[Personality]
(Go wild!)
[Element]
(Rulings are above.)
[Class]
(Rulings are above.)
[Passive]
(Be mindful but go wild!)
[Active]
(Be mindful but go wild!)
[Prefered Battle Style]
(Basically, weapon preferences or whatnot. Optional.)

Lemme know if there's anything else I need to add. Cheers!

Tell me if I need to rework or nerf the abilities for my character. I love rogue-likes, so I had to join when I saw this!

[Name] Kensaku
[Gender] Female

[Appearance]
Entirely human with a muscular build, tanned skin, and a height of 5'6". Dark brown eyes are framed by long black hair that scatters over rounded shoulders.

[Personality]
Kind, calloused hands that quickly and quietly help with all manners of work are juxtaposed by a sharp tongue thats all too fast to tease others, often to the point of hurtfulness or taunting. Kensaku possesses confidence in spades (unfortunately not arrogance when its backed by her blade) and a reluctance to apologize despite any regrets that come in the hours following an argument, though said victim may or may not receive gifts after Kensaku realizes her faults through self-reflection or confrontation.

[Element] Earth
[Class] Spellblade

[Passive]
Altar of the Moonlit Wastes: Imbue items with moonlight, charging them with energy from the Light Element and giving attacks extra Purification damage. Affected items will glow silver and feel cold to the touch.

[Active]
Speaker of the Sun-Scorched Sands: Launch plumes of intense flame at the target, capable of burning but not exploding on impact. Causes a spike in the temperature of the user and their surroundings when used.

[Preferred Battle Style]
A swordsman first and foremost that focuses on every thrust, lunge, and riposte. She fights in close-quarters with a preference for two-handed swords and dodging or parrying blows, and her magic is usually used to create openings and augment attacks rather than to deal damage.

If push comes to shove, I'm fine with doing this as a one-on-one, if that's alright with you.

Sounds good to me! I'll enjoy my character and the concept no matter whether there's others or not.
