Long ago, a tribe of Sylesties thrived in a secret forest that was kept under protection by spirits of fallen Sylesti. As the clan grew stronger, new creatures roamed through this forest. They were dark and gloomy, and soon took notice of the Sylesties. One after another, Sylesties began to disappear from the forest until there were only the strongest of them left. The spirits of fallen Sylesties were summoned by the survivors to stop the dark beasts from taking over the forest, but the spirits could no longer stay, as the monsters had taken too much of the plants' life that the spirits lived on.

"Leave this place before the last of you fall," the spirits of fallen Sylesties said before they faded away.
And that was exactly what the Sylesties did.
Through the meadows and hills they went, fleeing from the shadowy beasts who had taken their home. Until they could not flee any longer, as mountains of terrible heights blocked their paths. Through the tunnels the Sylesties ran, the creatures of darkness trailing only footsteps behind..</sup>
