Coming from certain other pet-sites, I rather miss the simple feature of having a bio/about section on the pet itself where you can write story and lore about that pet as well as post fanart you may have of that pet directly on their pages.

You would simply need to take the foundation framework placed on user profiles and port it over. Entry fields for text requiring user-hosted images are low-demand on server (practically non-existent server-load) and can provide an enormous amount of user creativity and engagement, which would bring more life to the site.

This is me trying to hope that this site isn't on its last limbs because I think it's unique and gorgeous and I want to see it succeed! I can see it has so much potential and so far everyone has been so overwhelmingly kind to me. ;u;

i'm not super sure about the site being on its last limbs, but i do really like the idea of pet bios. its probably the only thing from other games that i kinda miss.
the site itself is still in Beta and mechanics are still being worked out in several places around the site (for instance, the breeding grounds are going to be updated at some point in the near future). i hope at some point we get more things we can do with pets outside of combat. ^^

First of all, this site is far from being 'on its last limbs'. If it was, it would not have lasted 11 years, and in the five years I've been here, I've seen it do nothing but grow and improve. Our community may be very small, especially compared to the size of some other online communities, but that's in no way a sign of a 'dying' site.



That being said, this has been suggested quite a lot. I'd say I've seen this suggestion maybe 20 times? Which is quite a lot, considering I like to look at this forum daily and there's only 5-8 suggestions a month generally.

Now take this with a grain of salt, because I really do not feel like searching through the entire suggestions forum to find it, but I do believe Krin has mentioned he will do this? But that it would be in the revamp for pet profiles which is a loooong way from now. I may be misremembering of course (I am not Krin and this would've been at least months ago), but I know he did respond to a pet bio suggestion at least once.

Pet and Player Bio customization is planned for when those pages are overhauled. You can tell if a feature is due for an overhaul based on the interface it uses. Things like the Forums, Stables, Hatchery, the Home Page, etc all use our newer interface and generally that happens when said page is updated and modernized.

Pages like Pet/Player Profiles, Missions, Inventory, Trade Broker, etc are still using our older interface and code. When we overhaul them (rebuild them from scratch), they'll be updated to the new interface and release with a bunch of new bells and whistles.

Nice, nice! Moving systems is a headache and I don't envy the workload! I am blown away by how much love is going into this site, you guys are wizards. I am so very used to watching sites I love die (RIP Valenth) so I was just preemptively scared of getting attached, but I can see that things are still moving forward!
