I went to battle in the maw then left. Now I cant go back because it says Im in a battle, but Im in battle in IT. So now I cant really do anything with my inventory or stuff like that.

For any battle that you are in, certain features become locked until you finish the battle.
In order to clear or get back to your current battle, you can just visit any Exploration Zone in the World Map and the code will redirect you to where you're supposed to be. And then you can just finish the battle either by winning or losing the battle.
