Hello, I've returned to complain.

Why is there so much translucent white?
The only place where ac1 doesn't have white is on the default portion of g1. All of the gene area on the feathers has white on top. The elemental bits all have white on top. The inside bit of the fire is especially egregious.

What is this for? It doesn't make it look better. There are cases where it doesn't look objectionable, but it's not an improvement in any capacity over being able to choose the same color yourself. It stifles creativity and forces you into specific value placements. It's frustrating and has no utility.

This sort of stuff is the one thing I dread about the fae and bulb revamps. It never gets changed or even addressed and it bothers me to no end.

I know you want dark-on-light themes. There's a reason people don't like making them. I'll say it again: This. Is. Why.

Nobody wants their theme to look like this. Nobody would buy this thinking it looks nice. Nobody would breed this thinking it was the best trait set to use.

I do not care that most of the translucent white comes only with an element attunement. If someone wanted to breed a max stat for battling, and the whitened element slots were dark, whoops! Your battle pet is ugly now! Have fun!

It also shows that there's zero intention to stop whitening traits, which is extremely frustrating. There's been opposition to whitening traits like this before I joined the site, and yet it stays. The list of affected traits keeps growing. The only word I've seen on this is toning down the puff & vene runes to the "standard" whiteness. Why is there a standard whiteness? Nothing. Can the whiteness be removed? Nothing. It's aggravating.

This extends to other forced colors/alterations. Unchangeable black on puff stoneheart regalia? Bad. Darkening on griffi battle armor? Pass. Forced precolored iridescence on muts? Don't like that either. I don't care what colors you're forcing me to use, I don't want it.

Agreed.

To me it looks like they were greased up with conditioner. Shiny lads.

Even if it were just toned down a little that would be nice - a few spots are so white that it really stands out.
