Please no criticism here!! Any suggestions are welcome. This is just an overview of a book I'm writing.

STARSHADOW FILES
The door burst open as a panicked, tall figure darted into my room. My eyes flew open as my mother turned to me and whispered, "The Shadows are here." I ripped open the blue curtains, heart pounding, as I watched the Lunar Star's barrier light flicker, and go dark. This was the end. A faint howling and pounding of footsteps could be heard over my fear-stricken daze as dark, shadowed figures emerged from the woods, inky black eyes glinting in the moonlight. We would be caught and killed, just like the others. My long, silver hair and my stormy gray eyes were the definition of an animal in a cage, and as we thudded down the wooden cabin steps, I could see the threat of looming death looming in my twin Apollo's gaze as he held my little sister Mira tight. Everyone I loved would be gone. "Is everyone here?" I shouted over the suffocating silence, shattering it into little glass pieces. One by one, everyone nodded as I pulled out the one and only defense we had left. My lightbow. Its long, bow-and-arrow like structure was coated in an ethereal, bright blue glow, and swirled around the wood was a peculiar green vine from the Evertrees. I clenched the lightbow tight as the rasps and cackles of Darkened Shadows drew closer, like a moth to a flame. Their veins were as dark as their stolen souls, their teeth long and pointy like a wolf's. The teeth were covered in blood, and their long claws seemed to itch and scream and reach for the overlying promise of gore. It was time.
