Greetings!I apologize if this specific question has been asked or answered already, but where does one find the item known as the exceptional snare traps while going about the game?

Yellow/legendary tier snares do not exist outside of the traps list in the battle screen. Presumably they were an intended addition, and may one day be an addition once the site leaves beta, but now and for the foreseeable future they are not a thing available in the game.
So, as it stands, we just have green, blue, and purple non-lost grove traps, green, blue, and purple lost grove-only traps, and red/master traps that can be used anywhere
