I'm supposed to investigate the Trollsblight Caverns but I can't find it anywhere on the map...is this an error? What am I supposed to do?

should be
World map > viridian meadows > trollsblight caverns (in the top right of the map)
you can use this link to get there directly otherwise, but if the caverns don't appear on your map you may want to make a bug report

thank you greatly for the help, but now I'm bugged out! I captured a sylesti before accepting the quest and now....nothing's working out... is there a way to fix this?

You can make a bug report in the bug report forum and I expect Krinadon wouldn't mind being pinged for a progression issue of this sort
