the new thread button is very easy to mistake for a "next page" button, I have made this mistake twice.

No support you will get used to where the numbers are and where the new thread button is. If it was moved 1000s of people that actively use the site daily would suddenly be confused about where the new thread button is all because you keep mistaking it as a next page button
