That is not a Spooky Ryori.

Mine is the first Spooky Ryori.

I know this for a fact because Krin made a region chat announcement that the themed Ryori was added, and me and CaptainKat were so excited we were like "I MUST CAPTURE THE FIRST!!!" and I won within ~15 minutes of the theme being released. Posted it in region chat to proudly declare "I found it!!!!! This is what it looks like!!! :D "

These NOT themed pets getting the tags has bothered me for years, literally ever since tags were given to pets retroactively and I saw with much horror that NOT themed pets were marked. Now that we have a themed pet codex that gives discovery credit, it bugs me even more.

And some of these species, like the Ryori, have multiple not-themed pets that retroactively received a tag.

(The other themes are fine since they were added in at the start of the festival, rather than the themed pet release being delayed. Ryori was the last one added, so it has the most imposters.)


There is literally no possible way that several different people changed 100% every single color on over 10 themed pets to some whacky RNG messes.

This is a bug. It has always been a bug. And it bugs me.

Yikes~ certainly doesn't hurt for this to be looked at and fixed~!

For more info about this time period:
Pet tags were not added yet and colors were not as purely generated as they are now (wide color swings with some pets to the point they resembled the theme but looked off)~

On another note, for anyone looking through these early 2013 themed, there was actually another bug/glitch going around~! :O So if you're looking through and wondering why the first few of the themed pets have all black in their gene/mutation slots, that was a confirmed glitch that was fixed as soon as Krin found out about it~! All the pets caught before that time though were left alone~ Those ARE accurately the first found pets and players did not dye those genes/mutations to be all black.

If you want to PM me a full list of the ones that you suspect are not valid Themed Pets, I'll take a look and see about removing their official status.
