I don't feel like reiterating the story rn you've already read the synopsis

Scarlet had been adjusting to life as a goddess more and more as time went on. Though being a goddess oh hatred was not something she really went for. She had dont very few things, though she did not appreciate it.

It's quiet. Too quiet. After the god of love had a panic attack in his garden yesterday, things have been tense. Nobody else has had an existential freak-out, not publicly at least, but everybody is on edge now. The ceremony wasn't this tense last time, a thousand years ago, so hopefully this one goes as planned. It's only a few hours away, after all.

She sighed, finally admitting to herself that her human life would have to be given up completely.

(I'm guessing, but is she a human about to become a god? If she's already a god then she gave up her human life 1000 years ago)






The tense silence unnerving everybody here, humans and gods.

She noticed the other gods seemed stressed, so she refused to mention anything.

The tension is odd. They'd welcomed her and the other humans with open arms a few months ago, when all the human replacements were picked. None of them seemed stressed then. Nor were they this quiet- even the shyest of the gods are being uncomfortably silent.

She became uncomefortable with the silence, "S-so um.. Why does everyone seem so g-loomy" she stuttered, and her voice unsteady. She was clearly confused and maybe slightly scared?

"They don't want to die."

For the seventh time since Scarlet was chosen, Vira startles her. Ghost is definitely an accurate nickname for the goddess- it feels like she always materializes out of nothing just to make people jump.

She squeaks as she is startled, "D-die? No one has to die! Why not have them live normal lives!" she said her stutter impairing her speech
