Hi! I have an addiction and it is to roleplaying. I am already in 9 roleplays, but I want more.

First thing to note- yes I know 9 is a lot already. Don't worry, I have a good memory for stories, so I assure you I won't forget anything important.


So, genres I like- basically everything! It's a case-by-case basis- I may like 2 sci-fi ideas but not a third, or one horror but not another one, etc! However, I do prefer darker stories and I especially enjoy fantasy and sci-fi (if not both) because I enjoy worldbuilding. I dislike romance as a genre, however, so nothing where the end goal is "character A dates character B", but if an AB romance pops up during the story I don't mind. I just dislike romance being the focus.

Secondly- if possible, I would prefer to not do the rp(s) in Sylestia and instead in Discord. That's mostly because I like having notifications when people reply, but also because there's more overall freedom in what can be written. I have no problem with roleplays on Sylestia, Discord is just a preference, but if you can I would prefer it.

On a similar note, no (sylestia) DM rp's! Only because I'm also active in the Sylestia events and task completion stuff always clogs it. If task notifications eventually get moved to overview or are given their own space, I'll gladly do a DM rp then.


Aimless rps only! While there should definitely be goals for the characters to work towards, the rp does not end when they reach it. They just get a new goal to work for.


I prefer to be the host of the roleplay, because I like to do worldbuilding! I've been told I come across as having a very strict story plan, but please don't be intimidated because in actually 90% of the time I have no clue what I'm doing and am just rolling with what's happening. I always have a very rough idea of "I want this to happen which will cause this" but that's about it. Please don't be afraid to also worldbuild!


As for you, the prospective rper yourself, I'm not that picky. My only requests is have a clear schedule of when you're actively responding. Doesn't matter if it's 1 response a minute, or a day, or a month, but I like to have a good idea of roughly when the next response happens so I know how much brainpower to put into any concepts related to the story (if I'm the host). So giving me at least a rough idea of how often you respond is helpful to me!
Other than that- not a grammar nut but please do try to fix any typos or general grammatical errors you get! Perfectly okay if one slips by, but please try to catch and fix any you find. Also please make an attempt to put equal effort into the story! 1-sided roleplays suck for both parties, so if I'm putting in all my energy and you're putting in none, it won't be fun for either of us. I'd say put in at least 50% of the energy into it that I do. I'm not asking you to be a loremaster of the story or anything like that, but please do try to add to things!

Sorry, but I don't think I can trust you to stay in any roleplays. You quit the last rp I had with you after 4 pages.

I can certainly try and stay longer than four pages this time, but it's okay if its still a no. :D

Do you have any evidence of a roleplay you've been able to stick to? Anything over 100 pages would do, I just want proof that you can stay in an rp.

Over 100? Aeugh, the only records I have of that are on discord, but I don't have access to it right now.

Touche, but then again Sylestia isn't my major RP platform at all. Most of the things I tend to find are VERY dead, uninteresting, or some other reason.

Any platform is fine. I just want evidence that you can stay in a roleplay long-term.
