It would be nice to know how far into a section I was, I keep losing hope on some sections; not knowing how far I am into the section. This would help because if I knew how far I was, I could have some form of motivation.

Level? I'm not sure what you mean by that but there IS a percentage for the progress you've made from the very start to the very end of the game, it can be viewed by scrolling down in your profile.

If you're talking about showing percentage for each SECTION/PLACE (e.g. Trollsblight Cave, Fungus Grove, etc) I would support that.

The main problem is that region 1 and 2's zones are built off of extremely old code (region 3, with its completely different explore system, was released in 2013), and because of this, Krin can't really do anything to them; being very early in his coding career, they're very inflexible codes and changes could make ten things break.
Krin 100% intends to completely rebuild them in the most up-to-date version of the explore system someday, though that's a while away (with the explore system being different, getting to each plot point is no longer the system going 'there are X amount of battles until they hit Y plot point', but actual, well, exploration.
Plot Tasks you have active are tracked visibly, and it's very easy to see your progression in them.
(in region 3 areas you can also see tasks from the task board that you have active for the zone you're in, but sadly it's not available in LG with LG barracks tasks, at this time at least. Waybe someday)


I do wonder though if something like the Raids counting peoples' battle progress to the end of each raid stage could be implemented, though, or if the areas that have those have specified coding that couldn't be used for it?
Having a battle counter 'to next plot event' for each area might also help clarify for newbies that to progress they actually has to battle rather than avoiding fights (though it might also ruin the feeling a little when you stumble unknowingly into the next plot point finally)
