Bea floated through her empty dream space, unsure of what to really think. It didnt quite feel like a dream she was in, but where else could she be? She was still on her pajamas, and last she could remember she was settled in bed for the night.

A glowing figure emerging from the void pulled her out of her thoughts.

*Human of future times, One has choseth thou to complete a noble quest. Thou art to bringeth unity and harmony to those who hath not understand the bond of man and Pokmon* the glowing entitys voice boomed.

Something from nearby Bea floated towards it- her phone. Bea scrambled to catch it as it drifted towards the light, but it was in vain as the device vanished in a blip of light.

With nothin else to do, Bea gazed up at the thing shrouded in light, her eyes meeting glowing red ones.

Then she was falling. She couldnt even manage to bring air to her lungs to scream in her state of shock and confusion. All she could do was flail wildly as she plummeted towards the ground.

She didnt feel pain when she hit the ground, thankfully and miraculously uninjured, but despite that, her vision faded as she fell unconscious

A man approached the two unconscious girls, three pokemon trailing after him.

"What the... two humans? Are they what fell from the sky...? And what outlandish attire..." He observed. He hesitant approached the two women.

"mud...kip?" The water type's fins flicked as it approached bea, sniffing around her and poking her with a paw. Bulbasaur extended a vine to nudge Briana. Chimchar jumped between the two of them.

The man extended a cane and nudged Bea lightly, mudkip took a tentative step back as she began to stir.

"wh... huh...?" Bea's eyes fluttered open and took in her surroundings, then she jumped up to a sitting position with a yelp of surprise. "Wha? Where am I? How did I get here?" Bea glances wildly in every direction, her eyes landing on the sleeping girl next to her, the pokemon, and then the one armed man in front of her.

He tucked a cane under his arm and put a defensive hand up. "Woah there miss, didn't mean to scare ya... but... I've gotta ask, who exactly are you? I don't mean to alarm you, but the two of you fell from a rift in the sky" He explained.

"a... rift in the sky...?" Bea mumbled. Her head felt fuzzy, she could only vaguely remember meeting a bright light in a void... she could recall her name, a comfortable home, and a lab with pokemon running around. Her eyes returned to the mudkip next to her, and a tentative hand reached out to it.

"so... do you have a name, sky lady?" The man leaned forward on his cane. "I don't mean to be rude, I'd just like to have something to call you, my name is professor Reiyn Manabi by the way" He introduced himself.

Bri then groaned, slowly waking up.

Reiyn's attention suddenly shifted to Bri as she woke up. "Hey there, good to see you're up as well... I was just talking to this young lady about how you both seem to have fallen from the sky... I'm professor Reiyn, do you have a name or something I can call you?" He asked the newly awoken girl.

Bea looked over at the other girl. It was obvious to Bea that even though she had never met the girl before, she felt a sense of solidarity with her. Supposedly they had both fallen from the sky, and she couldn't remember where she was from besides the vague "unova" in her mind. Despite that, there was something strange about this professor, specifically the way he dressed. His clothes seemed like something from an older time period, nothing like you would see someone today wear.

"Oh... um, my name is Bea, Bea Fletcher... I can't really seem to recall much outside of that... I'm sorry" She introduced herself with a shaky voice and uncertainty in her words.

She was in the same situation, looking around. *i. . . Um. . . Im Brianna.*

"Bea and Brianna... so, where exactly are you guys from? How did you get into that situation up there? Are you... even from this world...?" Reiyn asked, though some of those questions seemed more to himself than actually expecting an answer.

"I'm... from the Unova region... I can't remember exactly what happened... I just remember seeing a strange light in my dream... it told me something about unity and harmony between humans and pokemon... then I started falling and now I'm here" Bea explained her situation, wondering if Brianna was in the same situation as her.

She looked over. *same here. But, instead of Unova, I think it was Galar.*

"Fascinating... wait, but you two don't seem dressed like any unovians or galarians I've ever seen, heck, you don't seem dressed to handle the wilds at all, it's lucky I got here first before some wild pokemon tear you to shreds"

Bea glanced nervously at the three pokemon around them, and picking up on her nerves, Reiyn tapped his cane on the ground. "These three aren't wild, sorry, they're three pokemon i've been studying..." The professor paused to consider something. "Hey, since you two don't seem to have anywhere to go, how about you come back to the settlement with me? Abhail village is the safest place from wild, pokemon... plus, you two are kind of anomolies, so maybe we could learn more about your origins there and-"

A loud noise suddenly came from deeper in the woods. The three pokemon that were sniffing around the girls suddenly jumped up, scurrying away. "Mudkip! Chimchar! Bulbasaur- no! don't-" Reiyn's shouts were in vain as the trio bolted away. He sighed as he tapped his cane into the ground.

"Those three are a flighty bunch... as much as I try with them, they're always running off..." Reiyn moved his cane aside to reach into his bag, pulling out a few devices that looked like pokeballs, but there was something different about them. "Say, if you're gonna stay at the village, they're probably gonna make you work to earn your stay, if you can help me out with catching them, maybe that'll give you a better chance at being allowed to say" Reiyn held out some pokeballs to the two.

Bea reached out and grabbed a few before pulling herself to her feet. "Well... I guess if it means I might be able to figure out where I'm from... I'll help" She nodded. "I'll try to get the mudkip, Brianna? Which one will you try to catch?"

She looked over. *Ill get Bulbasaur.* she said.
