I've worked a bit on this project with some IRL friends, and... felt like I should maybe try it out here. This is an RPG, so, yes, I will control most of the story that is very in development. However, you have free reign over your MC, or Main Character, mostly. That "mostly" being in character creation. Please, no overpowered units/characters or literal gods.

Well, I should get out the first "Book" of this story, or the main major plot.

[Book One - Twin-Sided Calamity]
A World Of Two Sides, born of the same fire, born of the same earth, vastly different.

One side magical and beautiful, grandiose to put it lightly.
Paradise to put it plainly.

The other was quite basic, to say the least. Bland., little magic went through here.. Until recently..

The poles have begun rapidly changing, tearing rifts everywhere.. Letting unholy beings, and pure beings, things of the imagination, things of the nightmares of everyone, things of dreams. All of it appearing to kill. To destroy.

The only thing people can rely on is each other, and even thats a very risky guess, people have begun to destroy even each other.. Humanity is dwindling in number, going easily missing more and more every day.

There are some who have begun to stand against this butchery, people of magic and blade.

None of them know they are the only ones left, only 5000 left, from trillions.
A minuscule fraction, but the strongest to exist.
The leaders of this society are anomalies and artists, former Generals, priests, and historians. But all of them are hearty, boisterous, and able.

Everybody looks after everybody else, everybody enjoys their lives because they know the pain, but they keep it balanced and protected together

Society is hanging by a thread, but this thread is harder than diamond.

And this thread is cutting through the Blight like a sword through the flesh of the weak.

But the worst is yet to have happened.

The darkest of this years long nightfall is approaching. And nobody would expect what sorrows await.

You are on a land known as Athaesia, a vast and wonderful land, for the most part. The continent itself is split evenly into Factions, based on their city, into the following:
The Magmatic Core: The essential center of the continent, taken by a mighty volcano centuries ago. The inhabitants accepted and even adapted to the volcano, finding rare and precious metals. This "city" is famous for its blacksmiths and well-aged... 'food'? Races that hail from here gain +5 to Fire Resistance, but -5 to Water Resistance, being the Obsidiai.

Atlantain Reefs: This is a city engulfed in the sea, but it's a place of wonders and all sorts of mystery. The inhabitants here, a fish-like species, managed to supply the entire continent with purified water and upon other things, such as unique weaponry and the like. The simply-named Finfolk gain +5 Water Resistance, but -5 Earth Resistance.

Plagued Outskirts: Not much is known about this place, except it is where the famous Battledome of Warlords is held, a brutal citadel of back-to-back battles to prove who is the mightiest for riches and fame.

Dragonspine: An area by the western side of the continent, founded by the great dragons themselves and an odd land of peace.

(Rest are a surprise~)

Now, for character creation.
Each character here starts at Level 1, as expected. Here's the form:
[Name]:
[Gender]:
[Race]: (Not too much limitation, just tell me where you hail from to decide other stats.)
[Class]: (Like Warrior, Mage, etc. I'll provide a list of classes in a later post.)
[Element]: (Out of Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light, or Dark. You can multi-type, but only 2 at a time. These will determine abilities. Neutral also exists, and that is a fine option.)
[Sexuality]:
[Appearance]:

[Description/Personality]:
[Weapon of Choice]: (This allows you to get a proficiency bonus to weapons of choice. And no, don't just put "all", as fun as that sounds. I'd say a maximum of 3 WoC's.)
[Extras]:

(I'll do stats at a later date too. It's late at the time I'm writing this, but again, it's just a test to see if people will like it. Anyway, have fun!)

(also for 18+ romance I'm cool with, but besides subtle hints please take it to DMs.)

[List of Classes]: (Everyone is welcome to add a few, this list is VERY WIP. Ask away!)
Warrior - The generic tanky, melee class. Warriors are a well-rounded class, and need no introduction. They have high HP, Defense, and Attack, but have low Magic stats. Can multi-class to Warmage, Paladin, and Spiteful Knight.
Mage - Another olden class that needs no introduction. Most refer to this as a glass cannon, and that is true. They have immense magic prowess but have really niche HP and Defenses. Can multi-class to Warmage, Druid, and Warlock.
Rogue - The last of the classic trio that we all may know. A somewhat frail class, but they have higher Critical Damage and Critical Chance and do best in the shadows. Can multi-class to Assassin, Spiteful Knight, and Ranger.

Warmage/Battlemage - A hybrid class of Warriors and Mages. This takes the best of both sides, the tankiness of Warriors and the magicks of Mages, and does what both can do best. This class has more accurate spellcasting, and is able to wear the equipment of it's two inspirations.
Warlock - A class that meddles in the demonic and dark sides of magic. They get most of their abilities from a patron, which they are bound to. They're even frailer than mages, but their tons of lifesteal make up for it, and they cast most spells with their Health. They deal bonus Dark damage.
Paladin: A holy warrior, blessed by a higher being. The paladin is a really bulky class, being able to wear plate armor, and have a high HP pool. They automatically get access to holy magic, and can heal allies when using the abilities blessed by their god.
Bard: A very... odd support class. They cast their abilities with music, using their charm and charisma to aid them. This may lead to questionable things, which is frowned upon despite how common it may be. They gain a +1 to all Interaction checks.
Spiteful Knight: A hybrid class of Rogues and Warriors. They're quite bulky for being a rogue while being slightly angrier, especially if they're using a kitchen knife. This class's raw anger gives them the Thorns effect, and gain more backstab damage.
Ranger: A class that specializes in bows and having animal companions. Druids and Rangers get along well for their love of nature, and how similar the two are. Rangers gain the ability to bond with their familiars quicker and deeper than most, allowing for an all-out assault.
Druid: A mage that delved into the lores of nature, and favored by Gaia herself. They cast utmost powerful healing and Earthen magic, making them a mighty foe.
Seigemaster: An expert in artillery and things that go boom! Oddly gets along well with rangers as they both learn from each other.
Shredder: An extremely skilled assassin; frailer than wet paper but deals MASSIVE damage in return; though some are incredibly bulkier.
Pathfinder: The ultimate jack of all trades; able to learn from all classes, but master none of them unless they find their Path.

[List of Races]:
(Just like above, this is WIP, so feel free to add whatever you'd like!)
Human: A plain ol' human. Not much to say here.
Elf: Often found in the forests, elves are dexterous and agile. This race is often loved for many reasons, but also are as ancient as the trees. (Sub-races include Night Elves, Wood Elves, High Elves, and Void Elves.)
Aarakocra: A somewhat rarer race, the aarakocra are a humanoid bird race that is quite mysterious. Most are seen with spears, and are quite the fighter in the skies.
Dwarf: A smaller humanoid with an innate Scottish accent, lover of ale, and an excellent cave dweller. Despite their small size, they have a lot of fight in them!
Construct: A slightly frowned upon creation, constructs are insanely bulky, since they are quite literally golems that vary in size. They are immune to Charming, and statuses that living races are prone to, at the cost of their speed.
Skoritsi: An anthropomorphic insect race that are very connected with their dead, and may worship odd things, such as their own god of death. Some rumors say that the manifestation of a reaper comes from the Skoritsi.

[Name]: Ra'nerk
[Gender]:Male
[Race]: Aarakocra (Plagued Outskirts)
[Class]: War mage
[Element]: Dark
[Sexuality]:Bi
[Appearance]:

(Not my art.)
[Description/Personality]: Gruff and abrasive, Ra'nerk is generally unpleasant to be around, but is a very loyal, trustworthy man. He treats traitors as just that, and would end one without a second thought, but will go to the ends of existence to save his friends. Underneath his cynical, crude shell, though, he is one and gentle, and mourned every life he takes, even though he knows it is them or him.
[Weapon of Choice]: Magic, shortsword, shortbow.
[Extras]: Ra'nerk uses magic in conjunction with weapons.
(As far as the name of the land, I would suggest Athaesia. Also, will this involve dice rolls? Just curious.)

Instant acceptance, I love the concept!

And it can, if you'd like. Also, I appreciate the name suggestion, I love that as well!

Also, note, as a Dark elemental character, you resist your own element's attacks, and you are weak to Light. Just thought you should know.

how could you forget your favorite person ever in your interest ping ;-;

however, I will forget this misdeed >.> and craft a character.

Are there any races that we *aren't* allowed to be? Is this solely based on DND or is homebrew-type stuff okay as well?
