When I try to nurture, I am getting an error that says my pet has already been nurtured for today, Which is strange since this is the first time I've logged in today,

Everything should be working correctly. The server did miss the daily scripts from Monday into Tuesday, so it's possible that's what you're running into.
Everything should be back to normal after tonight's midnight scripts. Let me know if you are still having issues after then.
