I dont know how to spend my ap on avatar items - old forum posts say clicking it will bring up a prompt, but ive clicked on the wardrobe options i want to unlock and i haven't been prompted to buy them- maybe im just not looking hard enough though?

Mostly AP unlocks things in the 'Avatar Base Styles' section. Hair and eyes and whatnot. There will be a little red AP in the top left corner of the items you can unlock with AP.

Adding to what Sakina said:

In the wardrobe, AP can buy Base Styles
In order to buy the base styles, you click the bag/sack icon in the top *right* corner of the box- the top left corner just indicates whether it's purchasable by AP (AP symbol ones) or with only diamonds (ones that can be bought with ap can also be bought with diamonds, but ones with the diamond icon are diamond only)

Clicking the sack icon will bring up a popup with the purchase details.


Actual Avatar ITEMS- outfits, helds, etc. cannot be bought with AP (although maybe someday, when the AP shop finally exists, there will be some that are)
Those are obtained though other means
