"Can't wait to leave." Riley agrees, even though he knew he wouldn't ever be leaving this place. It's foolish, the whole thing is silly. I'm sure there's some kids like me that were brought here on false charges, so, shoot, why does it have to be life long. The judges could of thought of something else, right? Oh, I know, death row. At least I didn't end up there... Suddenly Riley slaps a hand over his mouth as he realizes he has been thinking aloud.

Shade gave a smirk that was sharp but seemed to struggle to be a soft smile instead. He took Rileys hand off his mouth,hand gentle as he placed it down and then pulled his own back as if he thought he'd burn Riley. "You shouldn't be here I'm assuming? One of those people with sanity." He said,voice sarcastic but words not.

"Sanity depends on perspective." Riley says quietly, trying to keep his emotions in check. Nope, nope, nope, nope. Don't think about it. Don't think about how this nice and handsome dragon guy is sitting close to you. Noooope. Thankfully, Riley hadn't said any of that aloud.
"U-um, yeah. I don't think I'm supposed to be here. I, uh..." He cuts off, wondering if it would count as boasting to tell someone about how he had saved his friends... after one had died. Riley still thought of himself as a failure because of that.

Shade seemed unbothered by the start of a boast,he didn't seem to be doing anything but listening,ruby red eyes trained on Riley. He bobbed his head as if to say 'go ahead,not like it'll hurt.' but he said nothing of that sort. His expression was still not to kind but it looked like he was somewhat trying.Keyword: Somewhat.
His features where pretty nice,smooth but fairly sharp edged,and if anyone looked close his movements spoke of some sort of power and hidden strength,ready to lash out at the faintest notice.

"Well, there was a, um, a sh-shooting at my scho-school. And I, um, somehow managed to wrestle the gun a-a-aw-away from the shooter but, um, one of my friends still died, so I failed in the long run. And for all of that I got stuck in here, blamed for starting the, um, the shooting since I ha-had the gun in my hands whe-when they came. I was threatening to shoot the shooter... I am not much bett-better than the-them." Riley says as he fiddles with the edge of his sleeves nervously, laughing sadly when he was done telling his tale. He waits silently for, oh i don't know, some sort of reprehending or something.

Shade was silent before patting the boys head in a way like 'i'm trying to be gentle,sorry it's a little harsh.'. His touch wasn't to gentle but wasn't 'I'm going to rip you apart.'. "We all do things for the best intentions,but sometimes we get in trouble for it...." He sighed,voice rude but it was clear he was trying not to be. "Besides,your looking at a cold blood killer." He muttered. "I'm here for a one man massacre." His teeth where rather sharp and fangs threateningly long.

"Why? What did they do to you? Why did you become a mass murderer? How did you manage? I mean, none of my business. I'll shut up now. Nothing to see here." Riley says nervously, fiddling with his sleeves again, not sure how he really proccessed that information. He didn't try to run away screaming from Shade, but Riley was sure he had said something that could anger Shade. He actually didn't even know what he had said, just that he had said something.

"Self poisoning,lack of sanity." He mumbled,looking away from Riley. But his hand came over and gently took hold of the other boy's to stop him from messing with his sleeve. "You'll mess it up like that,dummy." He muttered.

"P-poisoning?" Riley asks, mind absent for a moment when Shade placed his hand on Riley's. Riley stops fiddling with his sleeve for the moment, eyes looking back and forth between Shade's hand on his own and Shade's face, trying to gauge what Shade was thinking. "I-I'll tr-try to stop." Riley mutters.

He nodded. "Dragon thing,and good." He gently released his hand once he'd placed it on his own lap. He didn't seem like the romantic kind,or even someone for feelings other than anger and hate.But he seemed to try and be soft now and them.
