She turned back and crouched in front of him. She stuck out her tounge in a playful way.

Mud stalked around the small tree looking up, waiting for that stubborn squirrel. Ever since that accident with the lap around the barn, he had forgot how to talk, walk, and hunt. Luckily they taught him to talk once more, also with walking. But hunting has been the hardest one to get to. His mind faded into the memory,


The young brown tom bounced around Fang playfully, "I'm going to beat you!" He repeated. As she flicked him away he scrambled back up as the barn leader gathered the cats. "Today is an important day, two young brave cats are earning there fist full rank of the group." He yowled. "Will they be runners, hunters, or guards?" His voice was deep and mysterious. "Only the lap around the barn will tell us." He yowled once more.

As the two young cats crouched getting ready to run in the pounding rain there eyes burned with determination. A sharp wailed sounded and Mud shot right past Fang. He ran and ran until he looked back at her and lost his balance, he slipped in the puddle of sticky mud and as fast as the speed of a cat being chased, he hit the barns side with his head.



He snapped back into reality. He looked back to see the black squirrel nibbiling on something, he crouched taking careful steps. He then leapt landing on the squirrel, he quickly snapped its neck. A messy kill, but it will fill his belly. He purred with delight.
