After they got home Glitch turned to her brother, "You and Fern don't like each other, do you?" She asked.

"Not really." Kaz replied. There was no use lying to her, she could usually tell when he did. He saw her become worried at that so he changed the subject.
"So, you made a friend? You gonna tell me what you two got up to?"

She grinned and told him about the vorkid and how Pine saved her. By the end of the story, Glitch had grown tired so he took her to her new room. While he tucked her in she whispered,
"I hope you and Fern become friends, too. Then we can all play together."

Kaz bid the young girl goodnight then went to bed, himself.

Fern and Pine got home.

Black heard and rushed home, nuzzeling his little boy.

They all went inside where Pine's mom was waiting .

Fern enterd first. 'Hey mom, look what I found.'

Little Pine was sitting at his brothers feet. 'Hi mom.' He said in a small voice.

Celesta rushed over to her youngest, nuzzling him then licked Fern's cheek. "Thank you, honey. I'm so glad you found him."

Then she noticed Pine's paw. "Oh, my dear! What happened to you?" She took the young zolnixi's paw in her own and inspected it.

Pine looked sheepish.

'I was playing outside when I saw this Lupora, and I never saw a Lupora before only in books, and I ran after it but then I got lost and walked into an old trap and then Glitch got me out but then we got attacked by a vorkid who sticked Glitch with icky sticky stuff so I leured the vorkid away from Glitch and then I found a big rock that didn't loo very stable and the vorkid charged at me but I ran underneath the vorkid while teh vorkid smasked against the rock and then the rock fell on top of the vorkid who said splat, but one of the stray falling rocks hit my paw and I couldn't walk properly and then Glitch found me and supported me and we became best friends and the Fren found us and braught Glitch back to her brother, who didn't seem verry happy to see Fern but very happy to see Glitch and he looked a bit guilty about something and I asked Glitch to visit soon so if that is ok can Glitch please visit soon?'

Pine said all in one breath. Fern looked surprised that Pine could talk so much so fast. So did Black. Then Black started to laugh. Fern looked amused.

Celesta smiled softly, the hatchling's paw didn't seem to be paining him too much.
"Of course she can, dear, as long as you stay close next time. But it sounds like you had quite long day, so it's time to rest now." she picked Pine up and took him to his room.

When Pine's head hit his pillow he fell asleep on the spot.

Black chuckeld. 'Well it seems the little one looks after his dad after all, if he took down a Vorkid.'

Fern did not look amused at that. "And how is that a good thing? You used to get in trouble all the time, the only reason your still breathing is because your strong, Pine is but a hatchling, that Vorkid could have killed him. And how did that Vorkid enter the woods with nobody noticing anyway?'

Black thought about that. That being the vorkid isshue, not the Pine looking after him being a bad thing because of course that was a good thing.

'That is strange, we should have noticed a big vorkid entering the woods. Maybe he found a different entrance? I will do some extra rounds and ask around tomorrow.

'Tomorrow?' Fern Asked.

'Well, yeah. Your old man is not as young as he used to be and I have been running all day. Also I was just as worried as you where so I think it is safe to say we all are tired right now.'

Fern looked down. 'Fine. I guess your right.'

Black grinned. 'So you braught Glitch back to Kaz huh? How nice of you.'

Fern looked away. 'Tche, I did not do it for him that selfcentered boy, he wouldn't even tell me if he saw Pine or not, and nor did he bother to ask me if I saw his sister. That pisses me off. You would think his sister is worth enough to step over your pride and ask a person for help. Anyway I obviously could not leave a little girl alone, and dispite the fact I don't like him, he is a brother and I could not keep the girl with me knowing he is looking for her. I would not be able to sleep at night.'

Black raised an eyebrow. 'Uhu.'

Fern looked annoyed. 'What?'

'Oh nothing, just noticed how in the end you still told me you did it for him but no matter, Anyway, I don't think you should be so tough on that guy. He probably got hurt or betrayed a few times for him to act so closed. He just needs some time to warm up to this place and its sylesties and I'm sure he will ask for help or help you next time. I also think it is because he loves his sister so much he didn't ask. He was so focused on getting her back, that he probably didn't even lister to you properly, a part of him asuming you would not help anyway probably because nobody else has before. There probably was some pride involved, but I do not believe he is all that selfcentered. I just think the kid had a rough start. Unlike you who grew up in a loving family. It is easy to judge from such a position Fern. I know you mean well, but you should always give people a change to grow, adapt and learn before you judge them.'

'Easy? Your joking right? My mom left me. Everybody things she died, but she left us, me, behind leaving only a note. How is being abandonded by your own mother easy? But unlike Kaz, I did open up to Celesta, she is my mom now in every single way. I didn't let the past do that to me. If his past is his reason he acts like that, he is not the sylestie I thought he was.'

Black raised his eyebrow again. 'And what did you think he was?'

'I thought he would be a strong capable and stable sylestie that, as you put it, could give me a run for my gold. So far I ain't seeing that.'

After saying that Fern went back outside to vent. Not sure if he really was angry at Kaz or dissapointed.

Black chuckeld. 'Ahh youth, good old days.'

He looked at Celesta grinning, 'You know those 2 will probably end up best friend right?'

(So you know, Black understands Kaz a lot better then the youthfull Fern does, he knows Fern is a good boy and at some points wise for his age, but his youth still limits him to look longer and deeper then what he is shown in actions. Black also knows those 2 boys are more alike then they would like to believe and acts so relaxed because he knows they will understand that at some point.)

The next morning Kaz woke Glitch up. "Wakey-wakey, darl. It's time to set up shop."

Glitch stuck her tongue out, making the raspberry noise. She didn't want to wake up yet, she'd rather sleep in today.
"C'mon, Glitch. I need your help. Besides, don't you want to meet some of the other neighbours?"

She yawned and stretched out her little body. "Kay."

He picked her up by the scruff of the neck and took her outside. "I'll let you ride on the cart until you wake up properly." After she climbed on top of the cart Kaz towed it to the middle of the small town.

They found a nice out-of-the-way place where they would still be visible and started setting up.

(What do they sell?)

(Potions, elixirs, relics, armour, jewels, weapons, etc.
Basically random items they find that they have no use for, they also accept trades as well as gold.
Glitch was out looking for things to sell when Pine's Big Adventure first started.)

When Pine woke up his paw still hurt.

So in order to make it better Fern was sent by Black to find a potion or elixer.

There used to be a shop but it's owner had left for the city. So now they usualy got them by delivery. An aurleon would fetch them in the town and sell them here, but he always asked to much Gold if you asked Fern.

Grumpy he looked for the aurleon when he saw them..... Oh joy, he would not get rid of him would he.

He was fully intending to ignore Kaz and walking past him when he noticed they where selling stuff, among them potions, who where a lot cheaper that those of that annoying aurleon. He could buy 4 potions and have some gold left for the gold that aurleon asked for 1. No need to waist gold.

With a sign he walked over to the small shop. '2 potions please, small ones will do, the injury is minor as your sister might have told you.'
