"Sorry, I didn't mean to sneak up on you. I understand that, no matter how much I list things in my head, it always seems like I forget something." Layla quickly looked at her dorm room layout on her phone, drawing it out on a notepad to see what would be the best place to put things. She did much to the layout, only to erase it all and start again. This occurred three more times before she gave up for the time being. "Perhaps my dorm room is just hard to decorate. . ." She sighed to herself before trying again.

"You see, this is why everyone needs a half-breed decoration maniac like me," Alyra grins and points to herself, laughing. "but for real though, I love decorating. And as soon as I saw that layout, my mind already went crazy trying to find a way to make it beautiful." she laughs, then looks up to the ordering counter. "Shall we get something?" She stands up and sticks her arm in a goofy out so they can link arms, and tries so hard not to laugh but having such difficulty that she ends up snorting. Even though she knows it's not that funny, she ends up having the urge to laugh uncontrollably anyway.

Sasha listened to the half-breed laugh- her name was Alyra, she thought, and suddenly had an idea. If she could befriend them, she find out if they truly knew her secret. She walked casually over to their table, interrupting their laughing. She smiled awkwardly and waved.
"Hello, do you mind if I sit here?"

Alessa snarled at the boy, baring her fangs. She didn't recognize him at all. She pinned her ears back and narrowed her eyes. She wanted to get out of the way, but every time she tried to escape, he only blocked her off. She glared at him icily.

Layla

Layla laughed nervously, her mind obviously on something else. "I suppose it would be good to actually support this business." She linked her arm through Alyra's, clearly startled when the harpy from earlier started talking to them. "I suppose we wouldn't. We're just going to get something from the counter." She tried for a nice smile, but wasn't sure she was succeeding.

Oliver

Well, this was certainly interesting. He had never expected running into his little sister here. It even seems like she's made some friends. He decided to walk over and start a conversation. "Well, hello ladies. Layla."

(To everyone, the vote is unanimous, we will be having a Halloween party! I'll be making another character and hopefully convince my step-brother to join and make some characters? Possibly some spooky exciting things will happen at the party? who knows... lol)
"Of course!" Alyra smiles at the harpy, and then skips toward the counter, Layla in tow. When another vampire greets them, she smiles at him and waves, "Hello, what brings you to this fine coffee shop today? Do you go to Scorchwood by chance?" She suddenly senses an air of power around him, and freezes, not knowing what to do.

Sasha sits at the table, regretting everything. Why did she think this was a good idea? She watches as the two girls freeze, and sees the vampire they're looking at. She knows him, somehow. Her heart skips a beat. It's... him. what does he want??
(I've also decided to make a male character, meet Ethan! I'll post a character sheet for him in the sign up page. Eventually. He's a vampire btw)
Ethan runs through the forest as fast as he possibly can. He bursts through the treeline, panting. He hasn't ran that fast in years. Suddenly, it hits him. She's here. he stands frozen for a second, then grins.
"I've finally found you, Sasha. You can't run anymore."

Oliver

"Yes, I happen to be one of the new students. I assume you are as well, Layla. How are you settling in?" He smirked, knowing she was so nervous because of him. "You know, our parents really regretted evicting you." His eyes slid over to the shifter next to her and the harpy sitting over at the table. "By the looks of it, you've already made friends. Why don't you introduce me?

Layla

She just stared at him, dumbfounded. "Oliver, what are you doing here? I know father would have never approved of you going to a public school." She crossed her arms, watching him carefully. "And yes, I suppose I've made friends here. What of it?"

Alyra stares at him, confused. "Hey! You can't just walk in here like you own the place and be rude to my friend." She tries to be threatening, but with a voice like hers it's pretty difficult. She notes the fact that he and Layla are siblings, and how unalike they are. While this Oliver person is so confident and sort of rude, Layla seems so shy and reserved.

Oliver

He burst out laughing. "Sorry, sorry. It's just a bit of harmless teasing between siblings. You're right that father wouldn't have let me come here, but soon after you were kicked out, they decided they didnt like me very much either. It's good you're growing out of your shell though." She gestured toward Alyra and the harpy.

Layla

She uncrossed her arms and sighed, putting one hand over her forehead. "Meet the number one reason I have migraines, my brother, Oliver. You haven't changed at all, have you? Well, you may as well sit with us then. But if you don't behave I'll make you leave." She went up to the counter and got the attention of the lady behind it.
