Alec, thankfully, knows what a burger is from her few years of living with her surrogate parents, so she answers, "It's beef between two pieces of bread, often with vegetables, sauce, and fried potatoes." It's not something she's had in a while, and the memories of eating in fast food restaurants stirs something nostalgic in her heart.
"There some way we can pay you back for dinner and clothes?" she asks, knowing that they desperately need both. They're fought in theirs' after all; they're a bit... messy. Alec can thankfully remove her jacket, but her pants are still splattered.

Alec doesn't think that she'd make a great hero. There's a distinct lack of mobility or defensive options between her and Gwyneth, especially in comparison to Arachne, but she can manage that. And maybe it's a bit reckless of her to assume that the police and the villains won't be able to catch her, but this seems like a good opportunity for training while contributing (just a little) to society.
"I'm in," she says, "provided that the community doesn't mind someone in jeans and a hoodie. You all seem to be an impeccably dressed crowd so far." Alec inclines her head towards the other's outfit, mask and all. It can't be easy to get spiderweb patterns on spandex.

About masks, that's a simple enough problem to solve. Considering that the city doesn't need three Spidermen running around, she decides, "I'll just pull something over the top of my face and cut eyeholes. Add a halo, maybe, and I'll fit the style around here." Alec raises an eyebrow here, almost ribbing, because Arachne has a very peculiar style that'd draw more eyes than a beacon.
Then, there's the question of going back, and Alec nods before taking a step towards Vogt, mentally preparing herself for flight. It's strange, not being in control of things, but she doesn't find herself terribly minding.

Alec does so and turns to look back at Arachne. "Will we be following you?" she ask. The other got up here alone; she can get down alone. Still, she hasn't ridden a dragon, maybe the woman wants a chance to try.

In response, the girl just smiled, walked to the edge of the skyscraper,
And then did a backflip off of it.
She laughed as rose back into the air, rising an air current with her web glider. *follow me!* she said, flying off.
(I just rewatched HTTYD and I felt so much nostalgia and happiness and, not gonna lie, jealousy. I used to wish, and still do wish, that I was in the movie as a dragon rider. Lol)

(Haha, I watched it too recently, and was so surprised the amount of nostalgia I felt. HTTYD 1 is so different from the others, and I think seeing everyone learning about the new world of riding inspires a lot of wistfulness.)
White wings spread and then they're launching after Arachne, giving Alec the perfect view as the other catches the wind and soars upward upon web-woven wings. One day, she thinks, she'll learn to shift so she can join the others in the sky.
For now though, she's satisfied to follow along in their wake, gesturing at hot dog stands and burger joints as they blur by below. "Is that the one?" she asks, again and again.
"No? What about this one?" On and on it goes, a smile on her lips and calculations running through her mind to land on just the right side of repetitive but not exasperating. Four's a good number.
