The preditor leaned closer as it's tenticle touched his head. 'you stop my hunt' it said. 'you stop my hunt, but you are no normal zolnixi, you have a fire. A bright one. You stop my hunt to save one zolnixi? I will watch you close. I will watch you close and you won't see me. I might be right infront of you. But you will never know.' It spoke with a voice like scraping metal that would put anyone's teeth on edge.

He glared at the white zolnixi then turned his direction to the Preditor. He whinned slightly hoping he would not witness how a preditor kills.

The preditor came closer and lean forward even more. 'you have a fire. I would wonder what happens, if that fire dies?' The preditor's tenticle came off Black's head. It turned away from him and started to drift away silently and soon disapeared into the thick forest.

Once the creepy one had moved out of sight Black dropped his serieus face and grinned.

'Well that sure was an interesting way to be welcomed wasn't it. Peh I thought It was going to eat me.'

Shax snorted. Yeah, that was Black alright. Acting silly when harm was away. 'Eat you? I think your to old to be eaten, to though to chew on, Tenshi on the other hand would make a fine snack.'

Tenshi blushed in embaresment and looked annoyed.

Black looked mocked insulted. 'Old? Though to chew on? How rude Shax! I'm not old!'

The other Zolnixi's just smiled, used to their captains antics. They where like a family. A captain Black might be, but he never treated anyone in his crew like they where worth less. Only to tease or teach maybe.'

Topaz was smiling like crazy too. 'Well that's all fine and dandy ya'll but we have a slightly traumatised screamer in our mids.'

A stranger might think it weird for all of them to act like that after facing something like that...

Black lost his goofy face and walked over to the new nixi. He was badly woonded. With nothing more then a nod one of the Zolnixi's came forth and used fairy light to heal him. It didn't fully heal him but it healed most of it.

Black moved to the boy who looked slightly familiar. 'You ok kid? Your wounds should be healed mostly now, but there is only so much magic can do. Rest will have to do the rest so don't strain yourself.'

Tenshi rolled his eyes at the attention Black gave the ungratefull one. (Tenshi's mind)

Shadow Night was surprised the Preditor just walked away. He did know what that light was but magic? No...that couldn't be magic... What should I say? These might not be zolnixies at all! They might be pretidors in disguise. "What on hell happened there?!" Shadow Night couldn't help shouting. I mean come on, the most feared thing in the whole of the forest which would kill and win any fight just turned and walked away from it's prey! Shadow Night stared at the zolnixies. He was scared, these could be preditors!. He took a step back. Ready to run full pelt if they started shifting in shape or something werid.

Before Black could say something nice and reasuring (He was not at all surprised by the boy's reaction.) Tenshi interfered.

'God spare me. The ungratefull one is not only ungratefull but he is paranoide and idiotic to boot... Wonderfull.''

Topaz reacted to that. 'Tenshi! You should not say that.' While saying that though she had to hide her smile behind her paws. She hated how Tenshi's dry comments made her laugh.

Tenshi was standing next to the new nixi.

'Listen up brat, you want to know what happend? Let me tell ye. You where screaming for somebody to safe you and lucky you there we where, knight's in shining armor and then I dragged your sorry behind away from that thing while the others where entertaining it with a light show, Meanwhile you where screaming fire and murder which resulted in one of our own having that annoying beeping noise in her ear. After that the monster though it would be great to have a one on one conversation with our captain. Don't know what they talked about but hey, seeing as it left to do god know's what I am not particulary caring. Then the ''adults'' in the group started acting like kids. Then one of our own loses precious energie on you by using her healing magic because hey, that is what creepy zolnixi who really want to kill you do. We save you, tolerate your noise and whining, joke around and heal you only so we can eat the skin of your bones. Saved ungratefull paranoide idiots do taste the best. Though a bit of Oregano would have been nice.' (Tenshi said the eating part in sarcasm)

Topaz couldn't hold it anymore and started laughing. With her a few other nixi's joined in. Shax just looked amused.

Tenshi stamped away from the new guy. 'Unbelievable. I do hope not every zolnixi we safe turns out to be like that. It might be better to just leave them all here at this rate.'

Everybody knew Tenshi did not mean that though. He had his own reasons for being here.

Black just raised an eyebrow at Tenshi's speach. 'Really Tenshi? Oregano? I believed you had better taste.'

Shadow Night flared up at this zolnixi. "Well! If you really want to know the thing right infront of you is something that would kill a hatchling with no regrets! That thing was going to make me it's dinner and what do I hear from you? A load of sarcasim! I bet all you do is run around while the rest of your gang does the work. Am I right?! Because that's what it looks like to me! And while your saying you rather not rescue the rest of the zolnixies here then **** you! Because there is a whole tribe I am part of who try and try again to escape! And you know what! I bet we do more work then you! Because you might be sitting down somewhere with no worries! While we try to escape! I hate zolnixi forest! I never knew my family and because of people like you" Shadow Night stopped to take a breath. "It's people like you who take peoples hopes and dreams and stomp on them. You don't even care what happens to them as long as your safe!" Shadow Night bared his teeth angrly at the zolnixi who had been rude to him. He didn't even stop to relise that they said they might not bother rescuing zolnixies. He was to angry to care. This zolnixi who acts like he has no care in the world while other zolnixi are starved some seasons and might die the next.

'Are you really that stupid or is this a bad day for you? Do you even listen to what you are saying? Hello we saved you. SAVED YOU. Do I need to spell it out? Really? Ok great so now he is no longer paranoid. Wohoe. He evolved into unreasonable. Perfect.. You say I do nothing? What does running up close and personal to the creepy thing while grabbing you and lifting you and carrying you away from it equal then? If that is doing nothing in your eyes I am curious as to what something is. '

Everybody was looking at Black wondering why he was not interfering. Black had his reasons though.

Tenshi went on.

'Take a good look around idiot. I mean really look. What do you see? Let me tell you. What your looking at are Zolnixi's who enterd the forest on their own acount, willingly, to try and save everyone in this god forgotten place. We all left behind people we care about, brothers sisters family and friends. People we might never see again because we are risking our lives for nixi's we have never met. You included. So yeah It kinda ticks me of that the first one we save can only shout at us, insult us and doesn't have it in him to just say thank you for saving my life. You are one sad figure. Sitting down somewhere with no worries? Would I be here saving you if I was? I would be safe at home drinking my fave drink if I did that. Instead I am risking my life for the likes of you. And do try to LISTEN when I talk moron. I said that if they where all like you we should not bother. That was only an insult to you. Not to the other Nixi's. There was sarcasm there too, But I would not expect you to know what sarcasm is. One would need commen sense for that after all. Oh and one other thing..''

Tenshi then tackeld the new guy. And showed his teeth. 'You can say to me whatever you like, but don't ever insult Black in my presence again. Black and his crew does not take hopes and dreams away to stomp on them. As annoying as some of them are they are good zolnixi's who are all willing to die for the likes of you. You don't even care what happens to them as long as your safe? Would we have come here to risk our necks if that was the case? Black is the most noble Zolnixi I have ever met and would rather die then leave anybody behind. There is a tribe who wants to get out? Perfect. We would love to help them. Now get over yourself and thank Black for our crew saving your sorry asss.'

Tenshi got up again. 'Unbelievable.''

Shadow Night glared at the male. "I wasn't talking about them. I was just talking about you...And I would be happy to thank your gang but not you. You know why? Because by the look of things, you don't relise how many deaths there are in this forest. You don't relise that every zolnixi here will not reconise you! You know why? Because this damn forest did it. We starve most seasons to die the next. Your the kind of zolnixi I would happly help the other tribe to chase into a preditor's nest and watch you get torn apart while alive! Your the kind of zolnixi who acts like he cares about other zolnixies when infact he doesn't!"Shadow Night turned away from them. " And I don't feel like letting you into the location of my tribe. Not because of the rest of your gang. But because of you."

Kage flicked her tail back a forth as she sat in a tree. She watched the party with interest. "Well Well...it seems like that Captain of theirs has something preditors like. Unknown might want to hear about them..." Kage walked across and branch and then experty landed next to Shadow Night. "Oh Shadow Night. You let a whole load of new zolnixies who don't know the forest get to you? Oh please. They look weak. I bet they won't be brave enough to fight me" Kage grinned showing her white teeth. "But...I bet you wouldn't want to watch would you? Hmmm?"

Shadow Night turned around surprised to hear Kage. "U-uh K-Kage y-yo-you where spying on me?"

Tenshi did not get this guy. He saved him. He risked his life to save him. And what he gets is comments like starving and not understanding death, that he should be chased into his own death. That was all very harsh and cruel. All he did was point the boy on his flawed thinking. Lucky for the boy Tenshi was used to harsh and cruel. He grew up with it.

Suddenly a flash appeard infront of him. Unmoving paws, red on the floor and a smirk. He shaked it off. Tenshi knew very well what death was. This boy was an Immature brat that did not know what the hell he was talking about. Arrogant prick. And despite all his bla die bla he still had yet to give 1 proper well ment thanks that did not include insults/ lies and silly petty childisch fighting. It was like you told a child that they where doing something wrong and instead of learning from it the child turns around and will say: well yeah.. your fur is ugly!! Like that has anything to do with anything. What he is saying has nothing to do with facts, unlike what he was saying.... He would't even bother anymore.

'Listen ungratefull prat, I don't need your thanks. If I needed a thanks for every Zolnixi I saved many of them would have been dead. Including you. What your sprouting is childish and not even based on facts. You don't know me. All I talked about was the things you showed us. You are talking about things you could not know. So I am goin to stop taking you seriously. Grow up, learn to hold up a real argument and then we will talk. I don't like arguing with children.

Tenshi grinned. God that boy was silly. Not even Black seemed Impressed much by the boy's choice of words. Fair enough he probably would get a scolding too for his choice of words but Tenshi did not care. That brad needed every word. Hopefully it would slap him awake and be gratefull for the chance he was presented with. Oh why did he have to be the one to save that boy... He almost wished he didn't.....Almost ... because despite his though exterior, he still hated to see anyone die. Even brats like him. Growing up could cure that one. Death however...

Black was about to say something to the boy about his bad bihavior, but also about his health, if he was ok, that they really where the good guys and that he would love to meet the zolnixi in the village when the female showed up and ruined his plans for conversation.

She and the boy seemed to know eachother.

Black knew right away this was a dangerous one.

Tenshi tensed up. 'Weak? I'll show her weak.' He groweld. Shax stopped him with his paw. His respect for Black's best friend prevented him from breaking past that paw.

Black turned to the female. Polite grin on his face. His body however was ready for action if need be. But in a similar way as with the monster. Calm.

'Well hello there, I don't believe we have met. My name is Black. I would say nice to meet you but I guess It's a bit early for that.'

Kage flicked her tail again and grinned seeing the reaction she got from one of them. She ignored what Black said and spoke in a serious tone. "Well...May I ask what a bunch of zolnixies who are clearly lost not knowing where to go and what to do is doing here? Because, well. You don't seem like the kind who where forced into this forest. And, so you know I care what insults you might throw at me like you did with Shadow Night here. Because I hate insults. And I know how to deal with them well."

Shadow Night could help but do a faint smile when he heard the threat under her words. He hoped that the male zolnixi who was being rude said a insult...oh...he would get it all right...He would get the biggest beating of his life.

Everybody stayed silent. They all agreed to let Black do the talking beforehand. The new guy Tenshi bikering was kinda unplanned.. But the new guy was not an enemie so that was ok. With hostiles it was Black and only Black.

Black was not at all fazed he got ignored. His wife did it all the time when he was on one of his childish moods.

Tenshi stayed put this time. Grinning at the new guy. He seemed dissapointed, which in turn made Tenshi happy.


Black spoke up again.

'Why my lady the only one doing the insulting is you. All I did was introduce myself. And to be fair, the boy kinda desserved it.''

Black turned to the white zolnixi. 'We are going to have words about the way you said it though, it was kinda rude. I mean the guy was still recovering from near death trauma. You should have gone easyer on him.'


Tenshi lowerd his ears. A mix of annoyed and shame on his face. Not so much becouse he regretted it, but because Black was not happy with him. He hated that.

Black turned back to the lady once again.

'As for who we are and why we are here.. that is kinda a rude thing to ask withoud even introducing yourself my lady. And the way you ask us questions doesn't really inspire to answer. The fact that this boy is scared of you does not help your case either. So why do you not introduce yourself first?'



Topaz did not like this woman. She just rubbed her the wrong way. The spunky tomboy did her best to look unimpressed by her attitude. Sneaky little bint, spying.. hah the nerve.
