A thanks is nodded towards Vogt as Alec is released, coils of light dissipating from the hands tied behind her back before she slides in closer to the hero. Or, perhaps, vigilante; the Reader doubts that assaulting visitors because of their eccentricity is legal.

She comes a little closer, sliding in on the rooftop a few feet away, still unassuming as ever. And maybe it's a little manipulative to let her eyes soften and her voice drop, but the other woman seems to be in need of what comfort she can get, and Alec isn't one for trusting individuals that have attacked her. Not immediately, anyways, and not without stacking the deck.

"I don't think I belong here either," she says, slowly walking her hand closer in an offer of consolation. "I had... abilities, somewhat similar to yours, but they're... gone, mostly, along with my family. That's what we're doing here: looking."

She keeps her eyes on the superhero, gauging her response. "If you'd like, we can help," she offers, casting a glance back towards Vogt to take in his opinion, "at least, within the city. It seems like we've got a few useful skills, seeing that they even take people with superpowers by surprise."

She looked over in suprise. *i. . . I dont understand. In this city, IM the only person with powers. And Ive never heard of other people with powers like you two. Why. . . Why do you want to help me? Especially as I thought you two were villains.*

"Why do you help others?" Alec asks, a little curious. It's not in her nature to help others outside of kindness, so it's probably better this way, letting the hero form her own conclusions.

Casting her gaze over the city, the Reader notes the general lack of destruction. Life is carrying on with the same general conventionality that it always does, at least in her imagination, with racing cars and slow-moving pedestrians. For all that they say humans are a hasty and spontaneous race, Alec has always noted a general aura of passivity seeping from it, accepting of what had happened and what was to come.

The sole hero seems to be doing a good job of protecting it, though Alec has a question for the other regarding who she's protecting it from. "Villains?" she asks, inflection conveying her interest. "Are the ones that you have so flamboyant that they'd come speeding through the sky on top of a dragon?"

She looked over. *I help others because I feel like. . . Since I have these powers, I may as well use them to make the lives of others easier and safer. And as for villains. . . They arent riding dragons, but theyre very flamboyant. Theyre like me, both with powers and gadgets and in crazy costumes. And yes, this isnt what I really look like.*

Vogt tilted his head. *can we see what you look like?*

She hesitated. *only if you promise to not tell anyone. Secrecy is a big part of my job.*

she staredin awe, quiet. *wo.* she daid, before pulling off her mask.

and... wow. shes stunning. long, wavy black hair, starm brown eyes, a kind, if shy smile, and a cute little dimple on her cheeks.

(if it helps with te description, shes asian. japanese, specifically. but personality wise, shes baaically american, born and raised.)

she smiled and held out a hand shyly. *my names Arachne Weveara, also your Freindly Neighborhood Gold Spider. cuz, you know, the wbes are gold. i mean, the color. um. whats your names and powers

Vogt shrugged. *my anmes Vogt (whatever the heck his last name is, i forget). i dont have powers, but Moonlight makes up for it. ive been told im suprisingly strong, though.*
