I try to run up a tree

You squirm inside, and look carefully around. There appears to be some dirt crumbling away in one part of the den, and in another the roof seems to have a crack. Which will you inspect?

I inspect the crack first then if enough time the dirt crumbling

You scramble up the nearest tree, and wait, but nothing happens. The roar dies down. You wait a minute, and it starts up again.

You climb up and peer at the crack. It looks just small enough for a kit to climb through, and you see light at the other end. A drop of water from a recent rainstorm lands on your nose. They must not put their nests under the hole, or they'd get soaked. You drop down, and hear a loud shriek. "The foxes are back!" Followed by loud hissing and battle sounds.

I bound out as quick as I can, scrambling up a tree and dropping on top of the fox, using my weight to squish it's backbone before grabbing it's scruff and bending it's neck upwards, raking my hind claws along it's back, wincing a bit because of harming them {You said the trees where to high for it to be a safe fall, so}

I huff angrily, lashing my tail.
