A little too late, it hit Layla that the question may have been uncomfortable for Alyra to answer. At least she seemed enough at ease. "What a coincidence, I have dorm 618. And no, I haven't gotten to my dorm yet at all. My bags are still downstairs, as I wanted to check everything out first. I'll go up to your room and drop off this bag and meet you downstairs after." Assuming that was a good enough end to the conversation, she used her super speed to run up stairs to Alyra's dorm room. Carefully avoiding every obstacle in her path to either make sure nothing broke inside the bag and to not hurt anyone with it while going by.

"thank you so much" Alyra smiles to Layla before suddenly remembering that she can fly and zooming over to where her other bag is thankfully still sitting. phew she sighs before struggling to pick it up and dragging it up the stairs.

Layla came zooming back down the stairs, and saw Alyra struggling with her bag. "I'm going to go get my bags and put them by my dorm, if you think you can handle that bag alright." Truthfully, she doubted she could possibly even try to pick up the bag Alyra was holding. Layla walked over to her own stuff and picked up the heaviest of her bags first, walking leisurely in case Alyra wanted to talk or something. Also, seeing the state of other dorms out of the corners of her eyes, she really wasn't excited to see the state of her own.

"Would you like to be friends?" Alyra asks. her lack of social skills sneaking up on her. "Maybe hang out between classes? I hear there's a good cafe' around here somewhere." she asks, hoping to make her second friend of the day, her nerves jumping around in her head in excitement. I can't believe i'm only on my fist day of school and two people tolerate me already! And I met the school bully!

Friends. What an interesting word. Her parents never allowed her to have friends so she would focus on their teachings and such, but all the main characters in her books needed friends to live. "That would be okay, I suppose. Perhaps we should go find this cafe later today?" She looked further around and tied her violin case across her back.

Noticing the violin case, Alyra asks "do you play violin?" even though she knows the obvious answer is yes. She fidgets with the materials of her skirts, and folds and unfolds her wings, not knowing what else to say to keep the conversation going.

Sasha was again startled out of her room by voices on the other side of the paper-thin walls. She was met by the sight of who she assumed were her fellow students. She wrinkled her nose slightly. Shifters, by the look of it. Or at least most of them were. The one girl was obviously a vampire, and another looked to be a half-breed. She tried to step back into her dorm, but it was too late. They were staring. Sasha sighed, and very reluctantly, said "h-hi."
She stared at the ground, hoping she hadn't given herself away. What if, somehow, they knew?

"Ah, yes, it's a hobby of mine. When I'm not reading I'm usually practicing on this, or I'm learning a new song." Plus, when I had nothing else to use, it worked out well to bring in some money, she thought. "Do you have any hobbies, Alyra?" Her eyes shifted over to a harpy standing in the doorway of her dorm. She looked quite reluctant to say hello, and also seemed very. . . tense, perhaps? "Hello, miss. Are you alright? You look very tense. Are you perhaps worried about this coming school year or something?"

Alessa put her phone in her pocket and looked around, wondering where Alyra left. She rolled her eyes, thinking Alyra had run away from her, not wanting to be her friend anymore. She walked out of the school quietly. She looked around before shifting into her wolf form and ran away from the schools, to where she had hid her stuff. She found them not far from the Tranquil Housing sites. She grabbed her bags, and rummaged through them. She found what she was looking for, but someone was coming out of one of the houses so she shoved it back in there. She grabbed her other bags and walked back to Scorchwood High, hopping Alyra wasn't looking for her.

Sasha met the vampire's gaze. There was something about her... She bolted down the hall, her heart hammering. She had to get out of here. She darted down the stairs to the ground floor and out of the school. She continued to run until she hit Tranquil Homes, leaning her head against the side of one of the ramshackle houses and closing her eyes.
