She tried to ignore the thoughts of those sweets by eating her normal food. It was going horribly. All that she ended up doing was eating faster.

the sweets smelled so good...

She took an unintentional breath in while she was eating to get a better whiff of it. This resulted almost instantly in some food going down the wrong pipe. Cue the standard sputtering of coughing and frantic drinking of your drink that follows the said situation.

the guard walked over, worried.

and the sweets still smelled delicous...

After that whole ordeal was over, she looked around to see all who had noticed her choke on her breakfast. Then looked at the guard. She then quickly shoved the few small sweets she had left in her mouth and washed it down with what was left of her drink. She had unfortunately chosen orange juice to drink this morning.
She had to cover her mouth with her hand to keep herself from coughing everything in her mouth back out before swallowing it completely.
She then waved at the guard with the other hand.
"Can you take me back to my living area?"

he nodded and walked off, leading her back.

She followed him silently as he lead her back. Her thoughts were diverted back to the sweets as they walked, and she was having a hard time not thinking about them now. She still had a bad taste in her mouth.

but the smell remained, along with the memories of the delicious tastes.

Except for the memory of orange juice and sweets. That one was not delicious. To help take her mind off it, she started reciting numbers in her head. She was being careful not to actually say them out loud though.

that seems to help.
