Riley pauses a moment as he reprocessed what he had just heard. He got all happy and giddy inside when he realized he hasn't heard him wrong. A small yet cheerful childish squeak escaped before Riley could somewhat reign in his emotions. He was at a loss of words and all he could do was just stand there and be super duper happy and all flustered.

Shade smiled fondly as he noticed the small sqeak.

"I think I need to sit down. I just had the best person give me a flattering compliment." Riley says, heart racing fast. His face was all flushed. He was trying to tell himself that it was only because Shade hadn't experienced much of the human world that he said that he was the best, but his emotions wouldn't have it and they bounced all over the place.

"Oh, should I not have said that?" he asked, gently letting go of Riley so he could sit down.

"No, no, you're fine. I just got a bit overwhelmed since that's been the best thing anyone's said to me in a long time." Riley says, sitting down.

Shade sat by him. "Oh, but ... aren't some humans all nice and stuff? Isn't that the type of thing they say when they really really like someone? Or, Love was the word."

"Yeah, but I haven't had a boyfriend - or girlfriend - before. Most my friends were already in a relationship with someone else, so I'm an expert in being a third wheel. And my parents weren't home a lot, so I'm not sure if they do that. I had to teach myself a lot of things. Like how to order pizza on the phone." Riley says, the last sentence something of a joke.

Shade tilted his head. "Phone? Do you mean those glowey talk boxes you humans use so that someone far away will hear you but the box speaks for you?"

"Yeah. I guess that's a to the point way of describing them." Riley acknowledges. "Anything else I can help name?"

"Hmm, not sure. I haven't really needed a name for human things." Shade shrugged.
