Mel looked up at Kuro speechless. She didn't know what to say and just laid back down on the ground. Her thoughts had taken over and she wasn't really thinking about one specific thing. She thought all her family was dead. She thought she would never see a living relative.

(Kevin doesn't remember what his sister looks like because it had been so long. He is waiting at the tree because a long time ago when he was at war she wrote him a letter and asked for him when he came home to meet her at that tree. She forgot about it because she was so young. Seeing the tree brought back memories and that is why she was so confused and her feelings are going all over the place. He had been visiting that tree every afternoon for the last year and waiting for her to show he doesn't know that the rest of his family is dead and that she grew up to be a spy!)

Kuro gently put a hand on her shoulder. " Mel...I just want to make sure that your sure...is that guy really your brother? " he asked, he somehow doubted it...how could anyone survive anything going on? He knew he would die eventually because of this war...and Mel...

"There is only one way to know." Mel said and pushed herself up. Before she could have second thoughts she began walking across the street. her heart was pounding and her legs felt weak. 'What if it is my brother, would he know my name?' She asked herself.

Kevin saw the girl approaching him that he had saved. He wondered what she wanted an hoped she wasn't coming over to thank him. he was trying to stay out of view from most people and she would just draw attention.

Kuro got up and quickly jogged after Mel to catch up with her. " Mel...it's been a long time...if he is...he might not...remember your name... " he said, a tone of sadness in his voice as he said that. " I'm not trying to put you down but I don't want you getting your hopes up only to have them smashed... "

Mel nodded her head and she already knew the chances she was taking. this might now be her big brother, it had been awhile since she seen him. Stepping up on the sidewalk she took the last few steps, clearing the space between him, and just stood there for a moment staring. "Who are you waiting for?" She asked in a whisper.

Kevin looked down at the red head and a smile spread across his face. "Mel, do you know her?" He asked and wondered if this girl was a friend or something. he really wanted to see his little sister, she did promise to see him after all. Even if she was a few years late he would still stand here and wait just for the chance to see her.

Kuro looked at Mel surprised. "Eerr...is she your...little sister? "He asked curiously, not wanting to be left out to much on the discovery of this guy being or not being Mel's older brother...

Mel stared wide eyed up at Kevin and tears stung her eyes. "You don't remember." She whispered and let the tears fall. Why did he have to forget her? Did she not loose enough family already? "Big brother, my name is Mel." She said and looked down at the ground. She was starting to sob now.

Kevin stumble backwards slightly and stared at Mel, looking at the ground, crying. "What?" Was all he could manage to say. He visited this tree everyday and he never imagined she would come. "You?" He asked and then looked over at Kuro. Was that he boyfriend or something?

Kuro looked at Mel surprised as she started crying. " Uhm...Mel carm yourself! It has been a long time so how can he remember you if this is your brother?! " He said, attempting to stop her crying. Should he maybe pull out her cat? Would he stop her crying?

Mel didn't move and just stayed in the same position crying. She didn't know why but the more she cried the better she felt. it was like it was just pouring out all her regrets and pain from her heart and throwing it away.

Kevin looked around unsure of what to do. how was he suppose to get answers out of her if she wouldn't stop crying. "Don't cry." He whispered and felt stupid for his failed attempt at comforting her.
