As you lean over to catch it your shadow falls over the water again, scaring the fish away. It doesn't swim forwards however, but down.

(Example of specific fishing, from info you have collected: carefully creep up to water and make sure shadow doesn't fall on water. Hold paw out to scoop under so it can only swim up.

This is not a sure catch, their could still be other things you don't know about yet.)

You lunge at the fox, and it whirls at your roar, giving a clear shot to Shadowmask. He slashes it's tendons, and the fox reaches around to grab him as you slash his muzzle.

It doesn't take long before another silver glint is detected.

i'll creep up on the water and make sure my shadow doesn't fall onto the water then i'll put my paw in the water and lift it up so thats the only way the fish can go

I leap on it's back, grabbing it's muzzle and biting hard while tearing my claws down it's spine *thoughts* not today, crow food

Because you are moving slowly the fish doesn't notice you yet. You try to avoid making ripples in the water. Your paw is close as possible without the fish being aware. What now?

i'll rise it up and go for the attack

It yips and trust to stager away, but with Shadowmask clinging onto his leg the young fox stumbles, rolling in the dust.

You extend your claws and swipe upwards. The water instantly tries to keep your paw back, but you manage to push forwards and hook the fish. It struggles, but you throw it into land at quickly kill it.

i'll bring it back to the place i'v decided is my camp and start a fresh kill pile
