Alessa
Alessa saw everyone leave the school and at first she had no idea why. Then she remembered Teddy telling her about a party. Alessa decided to go, hoping to see Alyra there, and maybe make some new friends. So she went to the market, bought items to make an owl costume, and went to the party.


Cole
Cole went to the party, dressed up as a wolf hunter (no pun intended as Alessa's a wolf. I literally couldn't think of anything, I scrolled thru the wardrobe options till I found something lol). He saw basically everyone from school at this party, maybe more people. He watched everyone cautiously, curious about what was happening. Nothing much, he observed, but did notice the girl and the two vamps were there.

"What do you mean we'll get there at the same time Roxanne shows up?" Alyra giggles, "It's her house, she'll be there already." She laughs, and then feels bad about making fun of Oliver, even though it wasn't anything of a big deal.

Hearing Layla's spout of anger, Roxanne is alerted that there is someone near her house, but she doesn't know who, where, or why. She tells the maid that shooed Layla away from the door before to go check on what's going on outside, so she just assures Roxanne that it was a dog and continues wiping invisible specks of dust from surfaces that she had already cleaned a million times in the day.

Eventually, the uber Alyra and Oliver were taking to the party pulls up near the end of a long winding driveway, but the old lady tells them that is the farthest she will take them because her family has a bit of beef with the Novas, and leaves Alyra and Oliver to walk about a mile to get to the front door with the party already in full swing.

(Ah yes, my favorite dog bark, the "dang it")

Oliver

"I simply mean that she would want to be fashionably late to her own party. She'd probably hide in her room until she deems it time to make an appearance." He shrugged. "After you, Alyra." He opens the door for her, and lets Layla in too while he's there. The music boomed loudly in the house, and kind of hurt his ears. Hm, this might end up to be a good party.

Layla

"Thank you. . ." She went through the door quickly, noticing how loud the music was. My ears are going to bleed. Maybe I can leave early if I give my pleasantries and just show my face. She scowled, "Very nice costume, Alyra. I see you went with the deerfox."

"Yup," Alyra smiles to Layla, despite having a raging headache, and pretends to not have any problem with the noise. I love the atmosphere, but it's really loud in here, and I hate how crowded it is. "I love your costume," She tells Layla, "are you a ghost?" She asks, and then nods her head toward the dance floor. "Do you two want to dance?"

Layla

"It can't be that good of a costume if you don't even know what I am. But yes, I am a ghost." She laughed, quite obviously trying to hide her discomfort in the current situation. "I'm not much of a dancer. But I can search for wherever the food may be and report back, in case you're hungry?"

Oliver

"Well,I would be honored to dance with you." He stated, and offered his hand to her. "Plus, it might be less loud on the dance floor. Since it seems like that's bothering you. And it'll be harder for Roxanne to identify you specifically."

Just after Layla finishes what she was saying, a boy dressed as a matador walks up to her and introduces himself with a bow. "I don't mean to intrude, but may I steal a dance, milady?" He asks her, holding out a hand for her.



Alrya laughs, and smiles at Layla, encouraging her to say yes, and then turning back to Oliver. "I would love to dance with you," She tells him, and takes links one of her arms in his, sweeping him to the dance floor smoothly. Thank goodness i'm a good dancer, otherwise this would be exceptionally awkward. Unfortunately, I mostly only know dirty dance moves... Alyra thinks, and then "Low" by Flo Rida starts blaring over the speakers, which mostly everyone is happy about.

Ethan checked the text on his phone again, making sure he got the address of the party right. He didn't really want to go. The guilt of what he did to Sasha was eating away at him and all he wanted to do was turn around and make it right. But it was too late. Ethan sighed and got out of his Uber, paying and thanking the driver absentmindedly, and trudged into the party.



Sasha
Sasha woke up screaming. She heard a loud "Crap! You're awake!" From somewhere else in the (room? maybe? At least she thought it was a room. It looked more like a cave.) She screamed some more as someone who looked like an angel came up to her, trying to calm her down.
"Shhh, you're okay. Everything's okay." Sasha's screams slowly died down and she looked at what she assumed to be an angel with narrow eyes.
"Why am I alive?"
The angel nodded. "I thought you'd ask that. You see, after they.... She tried to think of a word that wasn't death, beheading, or torture, unalived you, they through your body into the woods. I... brought you back. from the dead."
The angel stared down at the ground.

Layla

Layla was quite surprised, and for a second just froze. Until Alyra reminds her that the boy would actually need a response. "Oh, yeah, sure. But be warned, I'm not the best." She tentatively took his hand. "What's your costume supposed to be?"

Oliver

Oliver gave the boy a look of warning. One that would easily convey, "If you hurt my sister in any way, I will personally disembowel you and leave your rotting flesh in the woods." He wasn't familiar with this song, but he didn't mind it. It was just nice to get out and have a fun night. Though I mostly only know classical dances, I should be able to improvise well enough.

(I don't think Ive actually ever heard Low by Flo Rida tbh :skull:)

"I'm a matador," The guy tells Layla, ignoring Oliver's glare. "they're bull tamers, and I thought it would be quite ironic considering i'm a minotaur," He laughs. "We're pretty rare, I know, everyone seems so shocked when I tell them." "My name's Zym by the way. What's yours?"

Alyra laughs at Oliver's formality. "It's like dancing with an old person," She teases, pulling a few energetic moves just to show off a bit, and unknowingly gathering the attention of some other party-goers.

(Haha nevermind I searched it up and I have heard its chorus. Apparently. Somewhere. I grew up listening to 80s music lol)

Layla

"Oh! I didn't know Minotaurs still existed! I only ever read about them. But I honestly think ironic costumes are great." She laughed, and smiled. "My name's Layla. I'm a vampire, it's nice to meet you." Like her brother, she only ever learned classical dances, so she learned on the fly from observations of others. With a few missteps, of course.

Oliver

He noticed the extra attention Alyra had attracted and hoped it wouldn't be enough to warrant for Roxanne to make a personal experience. "You youngsters always have to show off don't you?" He said, in his best imitation of an old man's voice before returning to his own, "Seriously, though, I am trying my best here. Not my fault my parent's decided I had to act like I was born in the 18th century." He tried to make his voice sound fake-annoyed and sarcastic, while also trying to mirror Alyra's moves. He failed miserably each time.
