Aktorca nodded and followed Po-fla. Spiratus was right behind him.

"Hey, Po-fla, do you want this?" asked Aktorca. He held up a picture of her and Bomb messing around. "It was in his room, but I think he would want you to have it. There's an envelope on the back that says only Po-fla may open this. Po-fla, only open this if something happens to me on the front of it. You should open it."

Then Spiratus growled, stopped and sprung into a bush. He pulled out a black nephini that growled and swiped at him. Spiratus was about to attack the Dark sylesti when he saw Aktorca's face.

"Don't hurt him, Spirit. That's Bomb. That's my brother"



Bomb hissed and spat at Aktorca.

" You there. YOU ARE NOT MY BROTHER! And little Po-fla... get another friend, cos your not mine anymore. My only friends are the Dark Ones, the Dark tribe. Not you. And Aktorca. You listening? I'm ashamed you were my brother" the Dark Bomb hissed. " I'm sorry! Please... Help... Me...." It was the old Bomb, fighting the crystal. " Work together! Po-fla, my... friend... trust them!"

Then Bomb turned Dark again, bit Spiratus, and ran off into the undergrowth, back to where ever the Dark tribe base was.

Po-Fla watched bomb run off. No emotion was on her face. " This sickens me... " she said. " Who sylesties are turned agenst their will...but...we are all to blame...we sent them to this hell hole... "
Po-Fla grabbed the letter and opened it, reading what was inside.

(about the letter: make it up it's your decision. Maybe it could be Bomb telling Po-fla to trust his brother (aktorca) but its completely your choice)

Spiratus, who never said much, walked up to Po-fla and looked her in the eye.

" Your research may or may not be any good, we don't know, you haven't told us. But that, that just now, that was research material. Not how Bomb was dark, or his colours, but how he fought it. No one has fought the crystal before. We need to research that! if Bomb can do it, maybe others can! Maybe that's the cure! Not a potion, or a herb, but family. And friends, he spoke to you. But if this is the cure, we need to work together. No more 'putting up with each other' or 'helping ourselves', we need to help each other! The cure could be STARING US IN THE FACE, but it will be useless unless we use it! The fate of our entire tribe could be at stake, so, what do you say?

Po-fla, if you and Bomb were friends, but from different tribes, why can't it work for us? Bomb was ,is, clever. He knows. We need to do what he told us to. What do you say? I trust Aktorca, and you, as you didn't kill us, but do you trust us Po-fla? Probably not yet, but will you? And you, Aktorca, what about you? For Bomb and every other Dark sylesti, will we get along, share and find the cure?" said Spiratus.

There was a long silence, then Aktorca said " We need that cure. Yes, I say yes. Po-fla?"

Po-Fla sneered. " You sound so certain... " she paused to make them think she was thinking, when she wasn't. She knew her awnser long ago. " But I do not trust you...for all I know...you could be using me...all I know is that the other tribes did this, for some cruel twisted reason... "

Po-Fla's tail twitched. " And if you two think that I am wrong, if you think for a second that I am a fool...then leave... " she sneered at the two.

"We don't trust you either, Po-fla, but we could at least try. Surely, surely, you care about your tribe. You care that they're Dark now. Aktorca was going to die trying to help his tribe. maybe you wouldn't go to that extreme, but trusting us the tiniest little bit wouldn't hurt, would it? And we seem sure, because if Bomb can talk to us while under the spell of the Dark, others can too. we just need to figure out how. You've done the research, so you should know that this is a good sign. We don't want to end up best friends, leave that to Bomb, but abit of trust that we won't steal your research would go a long way. If we were stealing your research, it would be to help us to get our friends back. But how could we change some and not the others? We would change all of them. Wouldn't you? So it would help you, help us, help everyone. So, would it matter? if we saved your people too? Would it? But we don't steal, we're leaders now. Leaders can't be bad, can they? So let's share Po-fla. It wouldn't hurt? We don't have guards, do we? You have the upper hand. Would it hurt Po-fla? If you had to trust us to save your tribe, would you? Because that's the situation now," said Spiratus.

"Po-fla, you didn't kill me because you knew Bomb. He said to trust each other. I want to listen to him. I'll try. Will you?" asked Aktorca.

Po-Fla glared at the two. " You make it seem like I have no feelings...you make it seem like I do not take my role as leader seriously! " Po-Fla's litch wings extended out threateningly. " If you dare bring this up one more time... " she barked a order and guards came flocking in behind her. " If you dare...then I shall have to kill you if that means protecting my tribe! We will find a cure on our own! If you force trust it won't be trust! You are both neeve! "

(what does neeve mean?)

Aktorca muttered " at least I tried..." and turned to leave, but Spiritus wasn't coming. " Come on Spirit, we tried."

" Not hard enough."

"We trust each other, we will make a cure"

"No we won't. I know how to make a cure. I'm not dumb, Ak. I have my own research. This crystal was made up of all the elements turned dark. My friend Snowball sent me a mind picture. She was telepathic. And i said 'why is it Dark?'. she said 'because the elements don't trust each other. And we control the elements. As we trust each other more, it seems to be getting a shade lighter. its amazing, Spirit.' But then it was still dark enough to take them, Ak. And Po-fla, if your interested.I've worked out how to make another one. that would be good-ish. But i could make another crystal..."

"Why don't you?! Do it!! cure them!!" Aktorca interupted.

" Because it will be Dark because there's no trust now. We all blame the other, so we don't trust one another. it's a vicious circle. We don't trust, some turn dark because of that, so we don't trust even more! The only other thing powerful enough to do that is hate, so it might be that, but we never hated each other before. so, we can't cure them, it's hopeless Ak. So let's go and look after the hatchlings, and chose one to make babies with and repopulate our tribes before the Dark comes again..."

Spiritus obviously thought it was hopeless. Aktorca now thought it was hopeless. Spirit was never wrong. Neither was Snowball. it all seemed hopeless.

" Let's hope some hatchlings are female then. If not we're screwed." said Aktorca.

" Not the multi tribe. You could just****** some other random element. that's what you are, two elements. for the rest of us, no female = no hope. now lets go..." said Spiritus sadly.

" Bye, Po-fla. hope there are some nice males left..." aktorca sighed.

" Yeh. see ya." Then Spiritus turned away, made a mini snowstorm around him, and walked away sadly.

Po-Fla looked at them go. " Wait...was you two saying your going to****** a random female! " she called out. " Also I have no intention of meeting a guy! " She growled angrly, she barked a order and the guards walked away.
She barked out another order and one of her messengers came. " Round up all the poisons...something tells me thoughs guys will try to****** the females...I need to tell my theory incase it is true... "
The messenger nodded and went to round up everyone.

When the messenger went and she was sure no one would see. Po-Fla looked at the picture of she and Bomb messing around... " I will cure you...you understood me more then anyone... " she said. She hid the picture away, safly in her litch wings.

Spiritus wasn't actually that far away. He heard Po-fla say about the****** and realised that she had got the wrong message. He was tempted to go and tell her, but was also laying in a nice mound of snow. So Spiratus wrote a note and made an icy wind blow it over to Po-fla. The note landed at her feet, face up so she could see it.

The note said:

' To Po-fla,

I think you got the wrong idea before. our research shows that there won't be a cure unless we get along well, so they won't ever be a cure. We were just thinking about how our tribes could survive. I was just winding up Aktorca when I said about the******. because he has it easier, being a multi. They don't need wife of there element to make babies with. Cos he's multi. Not one element. Hopefully you get it now. Ish. but we won't****** people. I was winding him up, showing him he's got it easy. We'd never do what you thought we'd do. Cos we're friends we mess around like that. Most 13 year olds do. Most 13 year olds aren't forced to be tribe leader... So we're just struggling a tiny bit and that was the only way we could see the future not being us all dead. But we don't******. That was just me annoying Aktorca. Okay?
