When the roleplay begins, I PM each player with some info regarding their specific character. Though yes, you would be able to play two roles, I would prefer if each person had only one. Since you'd be playing Resident and Newcomer, it'd be easier than playing a combination like Newcomer and Lab Worker, so I'd probably say yes, if no one else signs up, you may play both roles.
