Meanwhile the vorkid had moved into the cosy zolnixi home. It looked like a mix of foxhole and house. Interesting.

The vorkid was studying his new home when all of a sudden he saw a glimps of white outside of the house. Looking trough the window he saw another Zolnixi.

'Another one of those pesty Zolnixi's. It would be rude not to greet her. Geh geh geh. '

The vorkid moved outside.

And climbed into a tree again.

'Geh geh geh, Hello little Zolnixi, Lost something have you?'

Glitch flinched as she recognized the raspy voice of a Vorkid. She looked up, a cross expression on her face. "Yes and I bet you know something, don't you?"

The Vorkid laughed. It was a horrible noise, one which she hated. "Perhaps but payment I must get for such knowledge."

"I'm afraid I don't have anything other than this." she said, showing him the small carved box she had found. "There's a great treasure inside but only the smartest beings know how to open it."

She turned as if to leave, a small smile spreading across her face. Vorkids were extremely self-centered, she had no doubt he'd accept her offer.

"Wait! The box, I want it." He blocked her path and tried to grab it but she pulled away before he could.

"First you have to tell me what happened to the Zolnixi family who lived here."

The Vorkid let out a hiss. "Repeat myself, I will not. Ask the other who came looking."

~Pine!~ she thought.

"Then tell me where he is!" She was getting sick of him wasting time.

"Follow the destruction, I told him!" The Vorkid seemed as annoyed as Glitch. She made up her mind to leave before she made it worse.

Tossing him the carved wooden box, she ran out the door and into the forest all the while following the trail of broken branches left by the humans.

~You better not think you can leave without me, Pine.~

Pine was walking a steady pace in the direction he saw the humans go.
Many thoughts where crossing his mind.

Which direction to I take Once I get to the point I saw them dissapear, How do I find them, what will do, should I get some travel stuff in the next village, what should I get, can I do this, where do I sleep...etc

So many thoughts, but Pine preferd all those thoughts above the silence of the night. For it had grown dark now.

Maybe he should find a place to sleep.

Looking around he didn't see much but open land. A few trees here and there.
It was probably best to sleep under a tree for some shelter.

Pine moved closer to the tree and lay down. Still shaken by what happend today.

He should have left a note maybe. So that Glitch won't have to worrie. Too late for that though.

He didn't regret leaving, nor giving up his home. He did regret he didn't take some small items out of the house first though. Like his brothers favorite painting, his fathers medals and his mothers comb. What he missed the most was his old stuffed animel. When he got back he would make sure to get those items back at least.

Pine tried to fall asleep but couldn't. So much worries.

'I hope they are oke and together.' he said softly to himself.

In order to try and fall asleep he started to hum his mothers bedtime song from when he was a little Zolnixi.
He would never admit it, but he missed being sung to at night. But he was to old for that. At least he thought so.

If He would get his mother back he would make sure she would sing for him again. She would like that.


And the only thing one could hear was the soft humming of an old song.

The night had passed. Pine had been able to sleep a few hours, dreams of familie being switched by nightmares. Well at least they where switched. He wonderd if the others in the forest where ok. Knowing Glitch and her brother, they would be. Pine smiled. Sometimes it felt like His father and Glitch her brother run the forrest. They had an certain aura that demanded respect. Even Glitch had a little of that. Would he ever have that effect on others? He stretched his paws, they felt a lot better.

'Ok then, let's go catch some humans. ' He told himself before he jumped up and started running again.

As Glitch reached the edge of the forrest her heart sank. With no more broken branches to follow how would she know which way Pine went?

"Tracks?!" She shouted excitedly as she spotted long, continuous marks heading toward the horizon. She hadn't even considered it, the hard ground outside the forrest meant it was almost impossible for a Sylesti to leave tracks but whatever Pine was following must've been much heavier.

Glitch considered going back to tell her brother but thought better of it. If she didn't find Pine before he found the humans then he might be in trouble.

She drew a symbol in the dirt with her paw for her brother. He used this symbol whenever he left to find something and was expected to be gone a while.

Keeping her eyes to the ground, she set off again and followed the tracks.

Pine was running again.

Following the trail, he made sure not to get too tired to fast. He didn't run as fast as he could, knowing very well it would only end in having to rest to long. So he hold a medium fast pace.

It was hot outside. Summer sun in the sky but barely any trees to provide him shade.

He was getting thirsty. As luck would have it, there was a small stream, a few bushes where growing next to it. A good place to stop for a moment.

He walked over to the streem and looked in the crystal clear water. He lowerd his nose, sniffing the water before letting the cool liquid pass his lips.

He gulped down the water befor he moves up again. He was about to continui on his yourney when he suddenly heard some leaves shake in the bushes. There was no wind.

Pine was wondering what he should do. It could be danger, should he run away? But what if it was something else?

Deciding on a compromise he spoke up. 'I know your in there, show your yourself.'

When nothing happend. He moved a bit closer. 'I promise I won't harm you if you won't harm me.' And he ment it.

Then he heard the leaves shake again. He was about to leave it alone and turn around when Suddenly something jumped out.

Pine jumped back. Not knowing if it was friend or fou. His fur stood slightly upwards and his fangs where a bit viseble.

He tried again. Cautiously. Not knowing what to expect.

Nickname: Aria - insists on being called so
Character: Optimist
Personality: Outgoing and curious. Unfortunately she is slightly dumb and cannot remember easily, but when she makes a friend that's one thing she will remember. Even though she is happy-go-lucky she is socially awkward towards most.

Family: Mother, Father and many sisters - she does not, mind you, remember any of them and therefore when asked will remember nothing of her family

Glitch stopped in suprise but just for a moment. In the distance, next to a small stream she saw the outline of a Zolnixi.

Positive she'd finally caught up with Pine and ignoring her exhaustion, she ran as fast as she could while calling his name.

Pine was looking at the stranger waiting for an answer.

The stranger was a Sylestie, better yet it was a Zolnixi.

He was red with dark grey bandid stripes.

He started to talk. 'Who am I? Kind of rude to ask me who I am with no introductions on your part.' The stranger looked Pine up and down.

Pine didn't like thus guys tone.'It's Pine if you must know.'

'I am called Feiht.'
'Well then 'Pine', What brings a scrawny little kid like you out of the forest.' Feiht said well starting to walk circels around Pine.

Uncomfortable Pine still answerd, hoping maybe this guy could help.

'I'm not a kid. AndI'm looking for my familie, they have been taken by humans in black. Have you seen them by any chance?'

Feiht Looked amused. 'Oh a self proclaimed adventurere and hero! Oh joy. Listen to me kid, If I where you I would turn back while you still can. Those humans are a nasty bunch. Besides you obviously have no clue as how to act out here. '

'what do you mean?'Pine asked.

'Well for starters, your out here all alone, a bit tired and then you here something move in the bushes. Instead of running away which would have been wise, you say things like 'I wont hurt you'. ' The stranger said teh quote in a very high to sweet voice, obviously trying to mock him.

'What?, You think everything out here is nice and fluffy? Knock knock kid, time to wake up, this is not your little forest, many bad sylesties out here and all that shebang.'

'I'm not a kid! And what is Shebang?'

'Point is, ''kid'', anything could have gotten out of those bushes, and mant Sylesties are stronger than your scrawny behind I'm shure. Instead of you promising you won't hurt others, you should be more concerned about others not hurting you, all I'm saying.'

'I do believe that's mine problem Feiht. And one action that was one wrong in 'YOUR' opinion does not mean I can't do this. Now if you'll exuse me, I have a familie to save.' Pine turned around. Tired of this pointless conversation.

Fetiht however was not done. He smirked. 'Oh but kid, I never said it was just one mistake you made, because you see, you also seem to have troubles recognizing danger when it is in fact in front of you.'

Pine was tired of this guy so he kept walking. 'Yeah ok, I'll work on it, bye now.'

Feiht suddenly leaped on him from behind, pinning him to the landscape beneith him. 'Tud tud tud, and I even warned you. See kid, Your just not ready for the big bad world. A word of advice never turn your back on a stranger, though I suppose that is a bit pointless now isn't it? '

Pine tried to break free but the other Zolnixi was bigger and stronger then him. 'Let go, what do you want?'

Feiht leaned his nose close to Pine's face. 'What do I want hmm let me see. Ah what about everything you have with you for starters.'

Pine looked confused. 'But I have nothing with me!'

Now Feiht looked confused.' What? You leave on a yourney and take nothing with you? You serious?
And Feiht laughed. 'Oh kid, you really are out of your element here, you wont last a day.' 'W do have a bit of a situation now don't we? You see, I never let anyone who drank from this stream leave until they have payed me. Now what do you suppose we should do about that?'

'How about letting me go, your nothing but a thief, you dont have to pay for a stream!'

'Thief am I now, Well yes I am, I bet you didn't even notice my name was Thief backwards.' Feiht looked amused but didn't let Pine up.

'Still, I'm afraid I cant let anybody leave this place withoud payment, reputatipon to think about and all that stuff.'

Pine suddenly grow cold, wait, what did he mean with that!?

'Well, it really is a shame, I kinda like you kid, but one has to think of their own hides.'

Pine froze, No you can't do that! My familie might die withoud my help!'

Feiht leaned up again. 'Well then look at the bright side kid, then you will reunite with them op there.'

Pine Started to struggle again. Feiht showed his teeth and was about to charge to Pine his neck when Pine was finaly able to push the grown Zolnixi of him. He scrambeld up and wanted to run away but Feiht pushed him into one of the bushes.

'Oh no you don't kid.'

Pine was laying half in the bushes and half in the stream now. 'Wait!, Can't we make some kind of bargain?'

Feiht looked amused. They always tried to bargain. Having nothing better to do he allowed Pine to go on.

'Well then kid, what do you offer?'

...Uhm.. Feiht moved towards him again.

Gold! I can earn some gold in the next village and give that to you! 'Not that you deserve it, but you right, I am not very strong compared to full grown sylestie, and I'd rather give up earned gold then my life.'

'Sure great idea!, Except I will never see your scrawny******again if I do let you leave.' Feiht moved closer again.

'Then come with me!' He suddenly flapped out. Surprised himself He offerd it. The last thing he wants is dealing with this guy any longer than he already has.

'Hmm, How much gold are we talking kid?'

'Uhm 1000?'

'How about 10.000 and we've got a deal.

'10.000!?'

'That or your live kid.'

....

'Fine, 10.000 gold it is.'

Feiht moved away again. 'Well that changes things then.' Let get going kid.' 'I know the shortest way to the next village.'

Pine got up. Breathing a sign of relief. He started to follow Feiht, glad the village was in the same direction the man had gone.

Feiht turned around again. 'Oh and one last thing Kid. You try to run away, I will hunt you down and make it slow and painfull.'

Pine Looked a bit worried but also annoyed. 'yeah yeah, death and dispair, I get it, can we go now? I have better things to do.

And so Pine walked with his new not so friendly companion.

Glitch watched the larger Zolnixi walk away with her friend, having seen the display from a distance.

She had panicked when he attacked Pine, knowing how quickly things could've gone bad. Her brother always warned her to keep away from strangers whenever they travelled to other areas for his buisness.

She knew they were headed for the next village and followed them, making up her mind to rescue Pine and run for it as soon as she got the opportunity.

May I fill the tomboy role? I know it's a bit early, just thought I'd take it before anyone else could...

Personality: A jerk when you first meet her, and picks on you a lot, but once befriended is very loyal. If she is loyal/a friend, she will still kick your scrawny******back in line every once in a while. She wants nothing to do with love or romance, and has no interest in men.

Family: only child, parents were murdred when she was at a young age, so she has had to look after herself ever since...
Reason for quest: To find out and kill whoever murdred her parents.

Fighting stats: VERY strong fire/destruction magic, basically nothing other than that magic-wise (other than the small average healing ability, but everyone knows that...) agile but not fast, not athletic by any means, average magic-using intellegence (which is just a wee higher than average brute/all physical attack sylesties) and a big head, so does that mean dexterity?
