Leah let out a small growl, if only she was stronger she would rip this guy in half. "What about the name Lucy, she goes by that as well." She knew she was gripping onto threads and she wanted them to pull her up. It felt like she was slipping further and further into the abyss of darkness at the bottom. She was scared of what will happen if she hit.

(By the way Leah is depressed... Like medically depressed.)

Sophia was surprised at how well he girl did this, "You come here often?" She asked and then chuckled to herself. It sounded like a bad pick up line and this definitely wasn't the place to be picking girls up.

Joke's eyes narrowed slightly but quickly shook his head. " No and I am getting bored and leaving..." he growled angrily before turning around and his fomr slowly shifting into his natural one as he headed slowly back down the tunnel.
Alice shook her head. " No sorry...and Joke! Your very stubbern sometimes!" she said before looking back at the girl. " Sorry about him...he can be a grumpy old man..."

Ellar smiled and laughed. " Yeah...I do mine sometimes...just to give a little extra help you know? " she said before starting to walk down the tunnel and holding the lantern at arms length in front of her. " Com' on! Before the wood dies down completely..." she said smiling as she took a few steps and stopped, knelt down and placed a hand on a metal rung of a ladder. " Also there is a drop..." she warned.

Leah smiled, "Of course, stubbornness runs in Kakutor blood." She muttered. "Alice, how did you meet Joke?" She asked, her curiosity getting the better of her. It wasn't natural for humans and Kakutor to get together.

Sophia smiled and made sure she walked around it. "Alright, so were in the mines are we going?" She asked, slightly unsure. she did just meet this girl and now they were staking out dark, creepy mine. The things she gets herself into.

Alice smiled. " Well...I was meant to go into the mines to find a miner who had been injured from a falling rock...and I ran into Joke...and his brother..." she said in her half-whisper. " I thought they where going to kill me and...well I'm not the best runner so I tried hiding...Joke turned into his human looking form and his brother hid...he pretended to be human and well...I believed him...I don't exactly know why he didn't kill me on the spot...but after a while of small bit of talking something in him decided not to kill me...I don't know what but...well...our friendship grew because we kept meeting in the mines and talking...and eventually...it ended up like this...being lovers..." she explained.

Ellar smiled. " Just following the main mine route, unless you want to check out the side tunnels! The are great fun to explore! Just looking for glowing things is fun..." she said smiling.

Leah smiled, it was such a weird but kinda sweet story. "Were you scared the first few times you came back to see him?" She asked, wondering if this girl immediately took to the Kakutor. he was a strange one, not really dangerous but not really safe.

Sophia laughed, "do you think we will find glowing things?" She asked and wondered if they hit the jackpot how much money she could make. She might be bale to fix up her old, beaten down house and maybe get some real food and not some berries she found in the woods.

Alice nodded. " Very scared...especially when he thought we where going to be...how kakutors put it...mates...I didn't even know and it was...the seventh time of seeing him and he attempted to...well..make a move..." she said and looked away nervously. " That was very scary..."

Ellar laughed. " Yeah...Glowing mushrooms or other plants are commonly found in the narrow tunnels...good spot to grow because things find it harder to reach them you know? " she explained as she started climing down the ladder. " Also come on!"

Leah smiled and patted the girls shoulder, "Well you two look very happy." She said, slightly jealous. It seemed that everyone had it better then her. It seemed that everyday she walked out of the house she was either almost dieing or someone else she knew died.

Sophia smiled, "Are they worth money?" She asked the only question that had been in her mind since she said glowing. Something glowing had to be worth something, right?

Alice shook her head. " He probably is but recently he has been...trying to well...get on top of me..." she said, not wanting to say that he was trying to****** her...her made it clear to him once she never wanted to have sex...but...recently he has been trying...

Ellar shook her head. " Not much down here but the surface sure enjoys them...that's why we send little up, to make it seem rarer and for them to send good stuff down...they said we where rubbish...we'll we're proving them wrong with this scam..." she explained.

"Men," Leah muttered. "There all the same even in different forms." She said, laughing. She hoped Joke heard her but she doubted it. He was probably way too far away even if these tunnels echoed. "Alice, why be with someone who tries to force things. Is that a real relationship?" She asked, regretting it instantly. It was really none of her business.

Sophia smiled, it sounded like a really good idea. "Wow, you're pretty smart." She complimented. No one they made her father the mayor, he knew exactly how to work things and he sure did. She hopped on the ladder and began climbing down, following Ellar closely. "How far does this go down?" She asked, she could hear her voice echo.

Alice smiled shyly. " Because no matter what he does I seem to still love him..." she said and looked embaressed. " Not the best thing when he is trying to force things right? " Alice added in her usual half-whisper voice. " And it probably isn't...but somehow it is..."
She then sighed and brushed back some hair. " Only problem is his brother who also wants to make me his mate...guess how that works out when he comes...a lot of fighting..." she said sadly.

Ellar smiled. " Thanks...it's basic knowledge...you know...survival of the fittest? " she carried on climbing as she talked and looked down before answering. " It's a fair drop...only a minute or two on the ladder then we hit solid ground..." she said. " Also you haven't got a problem with worms right? Giant ones sometimes pop up randomly through the ground, they are harmless but sometimes accidently cause a rock to fall...silly creatures Giant Worms..."
