She was still being mean wasn't she. Then it dawned on her that she should say sorry for hurting his feelings yesterday.
" All of that is besides the point. I'm sorry that I chose those words to say yesterday. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings."
Why was making a decent apology so difficult? She felt like she was messing up again.
