I attack again, this time still aiming for his shoulder, but jumping over him at the last second and attacking him from the back. I stay light on my paws, waiting for his retaliation.

The cat hardly let's you finish before leaping high into the air and landing on your back. He slashes as he slides forwards and lands on the ground, whirling to face you. He didn't use real claws however.

I alughed "Impressive" because lunging, swiping at his shoulder with sheathed claws then skidding round, leapt onto his back and grabbing his scruff.
