"Meh, it's fine." Austyn says with a shrug. "Not many people even try to acknowledge me as they know if they do that I'll know that I have their attention and annoy them. It's one of my best traits, my ability to annoy people."
Then Austyn puts his hands over Riley's ears, "Okay, you say right now if you are using Riley, Shade. He is my friend and I don't want anybody here using him. And it won't break his heart if you tell me because Riley can't hear right now with his ears being covered."
"I can still hear you." Riley says, looking up at Austyn.
"Hush, Squirt, I need to know if Shade is using you." Austyn says, never taking his eyes of Shade.

Shade glared at Austyn. "Why the heck would I use him? I wouldn't want to, I'd much rather die." He growled, pupils turning to slits. He hadn't even fully wanted to end up having to get blood from Riley but the boy had sorta done it to himself by saying yes and then letting him take a bite.

"Just had to make sure. Riley will bend over backwards to make someone happy." Austyn says with a shrug dropping his hands back to his side. "And it seems that you would be the first person apart from me and the rest of his friends back at home to not try to use him to gain something."
"Oh, that reminds me, Squirt, I was not expecting you by any means. You are the last person of our friends I'd think I'd find here." Austyn says, ruffling Riley's hair.
"Shut up." Riley mutters, gently punching his friend.

Shes very small. That means shes harder to get.

Shade felt angry for one reason. The thought of someone purposely using poor little Riley. How could anyone do that to him with a clear conscience? This sweet little boy was far too precious for even Shade to be cruel to without any second thought. He said nothing though, turning and picking his pick up again. He felt that Riley was busy with his old buddy and so just thought he should let them be, even though it hurt just the faintest to feel a little left out. That's something he'd not felt sad about for years.

And that could play against Trisha's size if she ever angered the shorty.

Definitely. She should probably stray away from making the tiny girl mad at her.

And she would try to, but blunt ol' Trisha hadn't learned to be to nice.

Shes doing well so far.

And hopefully she could keep it up, because she was a whole different dark Trisha when around more than a few people.
