Kage growled as they walked away. Then she shouted after them. " I hope your travels end in desarster! With your blood painting my cave walls! " She growled again as she started walking away. She kicked a stone as it then bounced off...a tree?
She tilited her head as she looked at the tree.
It's just a tree...but... it seems...of..She thought.
She walked causously up to the tree.
The wind blew hard making the weak branches snap and groan as they where twisted.
Kage jumped back, the memory surfaced of her first fight...the fight when she lost her father...
She wimped slightly at the memory.
She shook her head and quickly back away from the tree.
Wait...d-did the shadow of the tree just move?!
She gulped.
She looked around hoping to see Unknown and Eris.
No...they where hidden...
The shadow then seemed to rise above her...and now she could see...
It was a preditor...

Oranji nodded. " Good! Good! Now we set of... " he glanced round hoping to spot his sister. " I wonder where Kit-Kit is... "

Deidara groaned. But that took aaggeess! She thought to Badger.
She glanced to her left and saw Fire Star.
She smiled at him as he walked over.
" Hello Deidara...hello badger... " He said smiling at them both. " I'm just going to make sure you can all see your way when it gets dark! " He called to them both, even though he was right next to them.

The group had started walking. Kitsune had joined her Brother while the rescue party joined the fighters around the other nixi's.

Shugorei suddenly looked into the direction of his hut. He walked over to Orangi, Badger and Black. Not one for panic or loud voices or lots of talking he spoke with only 1 word.

''Predator.''

It said enough.

Badger looked up. ''Where?!''

And then it appeard behind his old hut.

Everyone was getting scared. Badger calmed them down. ''Keep walking, follow the path!''

And they did. Black meanwhile nodded at BAdger and Orangi. ''I will take the back, if it follows us it willl have to face us before getting to you.'' Shax Topaz ans Tenshi nodded in agreement.

Badger got worried. '' This is a powerfull enemie, few have been defeated. You could die, your friends could.''

''We know.''

Then all of team black started grinning, none of them showed the fair most of the others did.

''We don't die that quickly though.''

And they got ready in case it did attack. Tenshi whisteld. '' And to think I was there a few minutes ago.''

Black nodded. ''So we have learned not to walk off on your own anymore I hope.''

Eris looked at Unknown. ''Look, that predator appeard where Kage went too. You think she'll survive?''

Oranji nodded as he lead the group forward.

Deidara hanged around Black and his team.
Staring wide eyed at the predior, she didn't move at all.
She clouded eyes where not darting around but staring directly at the preditor.
Which for Deidara is usully a bad sign.
She was scared frozen.

Fire Star ran upto the team.
" Hey! Are you going to stand there? Follow the group! " He darted a look at the preditor.

Kage ran out of the undergrowth into the area the team was. She was huffing as she ran.
Her eyes seemed to look like she wasn't there...like she was stuck in a memory.

The preditor came closer.
The dark mist that formed it started spinning widely and in shrunk down into a nixi...that looked like Black...but it's eyes glew black and the amulets around it shifted in and out of shape.
The preditor grinned and then started laughing a crule laugh.

Shadow Night came out of his hut with a bag on his back with all his things.
He looked at Black and then the preditor. " What the... " he mumbled as he stared at both of them. Two Black's? But...one looks werid...

Unknwon grinned.
" She will...even if she panics into a memory she isn't vunerable...you know that werid state she goes into when you look at her disapointently? She goes mad...like when you steal her food.. " Unknown grinned remembering the time he did steal her food.

Topaz looked confused and looked at one of the nixi's who lived in the forest longer. ''Oi, do predators copy cat often or is this a special ocasion?''

Black moved foreward. By the reactions on everybody face this did not seem like normal predator behavior. ..Again. Also he rememberd being told predators attacking lost or lonely nixi's, or at least away from camp. So why was one here looking like him none the less.

Was this the same predator as before? The one that touched him and talked to him? If yes that could explain why the predator chose his appearence.


He decided trying to communicate would be a better first step then attacking. Tenshi Shax and Topaz where right behind him and the othe party members where ready to fight as well if need be. Some of the local nixi's also seemed ready though more afraid and confused then his own.


''By you chozing to change into me I will asume there is something you want from me. You have my attention.''

He waited for what the predator reaction. Wondering if he still needed that tentacle thing to talk now that he could produce sound. That evil laughing sound being the proof of that.

Meanwhile Gully was more confused and worried then anything. ''Mister Black.'' She mumbeld worried. But Fairy made sure she did not go there. ''No love, stay here. There is nothing you can do rigth now.''

Swift was scared, like many others. Walking like he was told they put more distance with the predator. Kitsune was one of the nixi's leading the travling scared group to safety. The predator shifting was odd. It scared her that they where doing new things. It was better to get away from it as fasy as possible. She just hoped thos new ones would be ok. She kinda liked them.


Eris looked intruged. ''Look at that, the predator shifted, how strange. I wonder why that is.'' Eris didn't care much for Kage so she focused on what really got her attention.

Tenshi meanwhile noticed Kage running away from it looking very weird. ''Old Hag, I never picked you one for a coward! Snap out of it and get your teeth in gear.''

Wait...did he just try to help her? Why the hell would he do that, he hated that weird woman..didn't he? He ignored himself and focused on the predator who dared steal his mento's apearence.

Meanwhile another pair of eyes was watching the scene unfold.

Kage's eyes focused back into reality and glared at Tenshi. " Old Hag? I'm not that old at all wheezer! " Kage glanced a look back at the preditor. " And how about you get jumped scared by a preditor?! You would be bloody scared to! " Kage snapped at Tenshi.

Shadow Night stayed by the hut, his eyes still dancing between Black and the preditor.

The preditor laughed again. It's eyes stared straght at Black. " Koome...koome to Hell...ay? " It's voice sounded like something scrapping agenst gravel on metal. It literally sounded like that. It laughed again. " yuu prootekt hem? Wy? " It's head turned and faced Deidara. " Price to py. Price to py... " It then ran towards Deidara with unnatural speed and when it hit her it poofed in a cloud of of black fog.

Deidara tried to scream as she felt like a volcano had just erupted on top of her and that the lava from the volcano was swarming around her feet. Her mouth opened as the paiend exspresstion was on her face.

The preditor re-formed on top of her, but it was slightly floating.
It laughed again as Deidara clampsed from the pain.
Then the pained exspresstion left her as she fainted from the pain.

The party atacked the fog monster who randomly attacked the nixi girl who shouldn't have even been there in the first place.

''What the hell was mute girl doing there instead of walking with the rest? Stupid girl. That sure was random bad luck.''

Despite all the warnings they where actually doing a fine job. Turns out predators can be defeated like any other if you just fight it the right way.

Topaz fire, Shax shield and Black's clever strategies made a real dent in it. Fairy meanwhile had rushed over to Deidare and was using fairy light on her.

Then Black was face to face with it again. No nixi's where nearby that it could attack except for the party members who where all prepared.

''I don't know why you randomly attack nixi's while talking about prices. I have not recieved anything from you that requires such a price. I am not interested in your vague nonesense. Leave this nixi's alone and leave, or talk to me. Really talk. Tell me what you came here for. If you do not wish to do so leave. We have nu buisniss with you unless you make it so. And if you make it so, we will not fear to end you if we must.''

Deidara groaned in her fainted state.

The preditor glared at Black. " Yu noow wy I av a price to py. Yu take mi huut. Stop mi huutin. And it made mi angy I didnt gt mi huut. " it glared again at Black. " Mi nww hungry. Mi neeeed fuud und mi got fuud. " The preditor then nodded in Deidara's direction. " Fear...mi fuud...torment...mi fuud...suffering...mi fuud...horrors...mi fuud...mi want all to feeel mi pain from thu tree prison...mi fuud iss bd aparently...but mi don't eat...mi fuud iss yuu suffering. "

The preditor shook it's head before laughing again. " Und mi gut fuud! Mi gut more den intendayed...mi made yuu angry und it give mi fuud!! " it laughed again.

During the laugh it's eyes winced and it's legs shook.
The pain suddenly hit it like thunder.

It collapsed it the floor head facing the floor. It let out another laugh.
( Basically if it's hard to understand what it is saying the preditor is basiclly saying. " I feed on peoples torment and suffering because I want them to know the pain I felt with the tree prison" just as a rough sketch it's saying XD )

Tenshi looked confused at what just happend. Did the thing just collapse or something?

''Did anyone understand what the hell it was saying? I don't speak jibberish.''

Black looked at the predator with mixed feelings.

''I think I got most of it.''

He walked closer to teh predator. ''Oi Black, what you doing come back!''

''Give me a moment.''

He looked at the predator. ''You went trough pain? I''m sorry to hear that. Who ever put you in this tree prison was not these zolnixi's though. You shouldn't harm them for anothers crime. What is this tree prison you speek off. Are there others still trapped there?''

Meanwhile the nixi's of the tribe where mostly far enough away to not see the preditor anymore, and they waited for a moment in the hope team black would join them again.

Badger had gone back to se what was going on and to help if he could. He was just in time to see Black talking in a normal way to the predator. Withoud anger.. Why was Black being nice to a predator!? They where cold blooded killers!

Black however had a feeling there was more to this then what he has been told so far.

( No problem :3 so you know it IS trying to speak nixi laungage ( which might be English o.0 ) but it failing )

The preditor spat at Black's feet. It's legs shook as it tried to stand. " Yuu knuw...I head you talkig to them abuut them... " it spat again. This time a dark ooze was with the spit.
" Yuu think we can't shar ouur pain?! "
It laughed again.
" Yuu wrong! Yuu...foxs! Ae the reasun wy! Und they want to 'proteact' yuu! Ey are the same as us! But tha stupides lok uus awy! "
Eventully it managed to stand on all it's feet.
It cast a glare to the team as it's legs still shook.
" Yuu rot in hell... " it shouted as it turned around and started walking wobbly back to the forest. Before it reached the borders it collapsed again. This time coughing up spit with more black ooze.

Deidara opened a eye and looked up at fairy. She groaned as she had a thumping headache and her chest felt like it was on fire. A few side effects of what the preditor did.
Shadow Night seezed his chance to run after the others. He met up with the group and quickly cheaked he didn't drop anything.

Oranji raised a eye brow at Shadow Night. " What did you see? " He asked. Knowing full well what he might of saw.

( More translation :D Because hey! No one understands the preditor! ( Full translation ) " You know...I heard you talking to them about them. You think we can't share our pain? Your wrong! You...foxes! Are the reason why! And they want to 'protect' you! They are the same as us! But the stupids locked us away! You rot in hell" )
