If you are able to answer any of my previous questions further, that would be great!
I think eggs were a thing last time I played, in terms of finding them while traveling via word map. Is that still possible? I would also love to know how to get a kelpri (if I spelled that correctly). I wanted one since I joined but I've completely forgotten about how to get one.
Also, how do I get festival currency ?
-e- I do have one other question. How do I get town badges?

I think Cian covered the others really well.
Also eggs are still a thing, but it is really rare, and they are often the same stats as any captured wild pet, None the less fun to find. Also during a fest you can run inot nests that show up the same way chests and crates would, and they contain a tagged pet like Cian described earlier.
Over all because you returned at the beginning of the fest yo could definatly benefit from it. So as far as the fest go's (this includes pets aiv items, and chocolate coins) do all that you can in the fest zone. you get coins from the pumpkins battling bosses, and the reapers as well as floatsom and chests. the more you play in the fest zone the more items and coins you get.
on that note you can get things that you can sell or trade to/with other players. For example if I get a Kelp Cata (Kelpari Catalyst) then I could trade with you for coins an different cata, gold, and even in some cases diamonds ( though thats normally for the majestic catas) there will also be games through the fest in the forums like pick a door which offer prizes. and the leader boards (which should be added today) where you can battle with other players theoretically for top spot in zone kills and nurturing. that offers prizes and even pets for the top spots
And as for Kelpari's you can surch them in the advanced search, but they are also easy to fing in the fest zone if you get on a boat and explore. But as a welcome back gift her is one you can have ^.^

Cat as are for the fest, so you brew them, they come out n little red/pink boxes the bosses drop.
