EDIT : And the new genetics look nice, some are a bit weird, like the
fire for Aurleon(Pheonix-ish?) and the Spirit with the Zolnixi(to go
with their Talismans duh~ ;O?), but it doesn't stop them from being
lovely~ <3

Yes. The new Genes and Mutations can be found throughout the game where any previous Gene or Mutation could be found.
As far as the Morkkos, there is one event currently where they can appear. They also can appear where other pets can appear outside of exploring (Scale Shop, Essences from Rewards, Nurturing, etc).
But, unfortunately, until Umbra Forest is released, you won't be able to routinely find them in the wild. But it shouldn't be too long until it's released.
