As leaves started to fall and October well started, Shee decided it was well time for a change of wardrobe, something to fit the season.
She worked with many things she found in a nearby forest and as well as various materials shed or dropped by the Sylesties she owned.
It took her a few days, but she finally assembled a lovely outfit she knew she'd enjoy wearing during most of Fall.

Beware, oh child, the graveyard shuck
Of evil eyes that glow
Of teeth that catch
Of claws that snatch
And drag you down below

Beware! Beware! The graveyard shuck
Whose mouth is gaping wide
Your wailing screams
Your soul it reams-
That's all that's left inside.

Amberline Knutsford is my chosen name
Autumn's felt and seen and heard
My Squirrel Rusty is playing the game
Im a little shy ... Mums the word
I love the weather of the season
Pathway guiding through the Woodland
Enjoyable company a reason
holding gently my left hand
Scavenging the forest floor
Chestnuts are the prize
Red and golden leaves galore
Look at that!!! what a good size!

When the world sleeps and the moon reaches its full bloom, Lunea awakens and takes the form of a fox-human. She travels to faraway places and heals the forgotten. She weaves our dreams with moonlight and keeps the world in balance. When the sun touches the horizon, she fades into the stardust and her footprints dissolve into the morning dew. On days of cresents and waning moons, her cosmic spirits watch over our dreams until she returns.

"They say we all die twice. The first is when the body succumbs; the second is the last time anyone speaks of us. Alas, not all the warped and distorted souls that still ravage this earth adhere to this adage. In fact, some wish to defy the laws of fate itself. There are whispered rumours among the tribes of Ryori that prowl the spectral wastelands; that of a warlord who challenged history. He was not satisified with just memory: no, he preferred legend. So when he and his loyal followers were massacred at the tip of the gleaming blade, it came time for his utterly boundless rage to desecrate the cycle of destiny. Even the most wicked souls quiver at the endless avalaunche of fury he has become. There is only one purpose that this monster serves: to go down in legend."

Apple Girl really wishes people would stop calling her an evil witch. Yes she does live in a spooky, rundown cottage (it's cheap), yes she does talk to animals (they don't run away screaming when she approaches), and yes her apples are unlike anything the townsfolk have tasted before (the secret is love... and strategic grafting).
Still, she's no witch!

The Vengeful Swarm
(AKA, Arthro)

For a long time, some have claimed that the spirits of the slain may return to haunt their killers, seeking revenge. But few believed, before the Vengeful Swarm arose, that simply squashing a bug could incite such wrath from beyond the grave. It was true that a single angry insect spirit had no power to enact such vengeance. Yet one day, the ghosts of the many small, overlooked and maligned creatures, killed for simply being small and looking creepy or gross, came together for a common goal.
Insects, spiders, and creepy-crawlies of all kinds formed an enormous swarm, which condensed into a humanoid shape, with parts resembling many different species, but a single unified will. They would get justice. They would get respect. They would protect their living brethren.
The entity went on a rampage, attacking and menacing every careless human and large creature they could find. People fled from the wrath of the Vengeful Swarm.

The Swarm then came upon a human child, crying and asking to know why. What had everyone done wrong? "You killed us," said the Swarm, in a voice made of thousands upon thousands of buzzing, hissing, clicking creatures. "It was an accident! I'm sorry, I didn't mean it!" the child stuttered out, remembering a beetle he had crushed by mistake while walking on the sidewalk, and the smear it had left on his shoe. The Swarm remembered then that the child had been kind to one of the creatures making them up, rescuing a drowning spider from a puddle. They realized, rather abruptly, that everyone and everything had not been out to get them. For the first time since the many had become one, they laid down their weapon. "You do not deserve our vengeance... we are...sorry," they told the shaking boy, who nodded and seemed a little less terrified. The child and the swarm of ghosts stared at each other, and then the boy decided to speak. "What's your name?" he asked, voice still trembling. "I'm Peter." The Swarm had no name, but they thought then that they wanted one. Maybe they could be something other than anger and revenge. "...Arthro," the Swarm decided.

Today, Arthro still haunts those who are careless and cruel towards their living kin. But a warning from them is usually enough for their target to never harm a bug again. Though it hasn't been easy, Arthro has made friends as well as foes, and the first of those friends was a boy named Peter.

This is a story of mis-trust and betrayal. It starts with a little girl named Mira. She had always been fond of magic and sorcery and she was always friend-less due to this. The only ones who supported her were her parents. One day, she joined a gang because she thought that she could find friends. At first, they helped her, but soon they started to use her and her knowledge of magic spells. She tried to leave and hid in her house, but they found her and knocked her unconscious. When she woke up, she was surrounded by fire. She managed to escape, but she found the remains of her parents when the fire went out. Anger consumed her and she tried to avenge her parents but she was too weak and the gang leader gouged out one of her eyes (which is why she wares a mask)and left her for dead. Luckily for her, a dark sorcerer found her and trained her in the ways of the dark arts. Soon, she became obsessed with the dark arts and did nothing else. When the dark sorcerer died, he made a last wish that she continue the dark rituals for him. She did them, but not because she wanted to fulfil his last wish but because she wanted more power and knowledge. One day, while performing a dark ritual, she made a mistake and got possessed by a dark spirit. The spirit sensed her wish for revenge and defeated the whole gang that used her. Now, she looks for people wanting to use the weak and makes sure that they come to a gruesome end.
How's that for a camp-fire story?

The Autumn Fairy helps bring Fall to Sylestia every year. Her gentle fingers help begin the transition of leaf decay. Leaves fall off the trees and float around her as she breezes by. The grass begins to turn yellow after being sprinkled by her pixie dust, and the final harvest of fruits and vegetables begin to ripen at her blessing. Though she appears to be normal Sylestian sized here, she is typically much smaller, and is most often perceived that way. She can be found giving the last flowers of summer to children, as she plucks them off of their vines each year. However, the Autumn Fairy does not like to be seen by adults, and will often hide herself in the flowers of Faelora if one is approaching. Some adults say they remember the Autumn Fairy, but most adults seem to forget her, as if put under a magic spell...

(More Halloween themed, really, but I'm having fun)

A mild-mannered young cyborg by day, by night, Malcolm Howell becomes Spook City's newest superhero, Mal Were!

In a world where magic and technology mix, often explosively, Spook City is a haven for magical beings and scientists alike. However, the city's peace is threatened by the conflict between two opposing forces: a group of powerful wizards, and a company of genius inventors. The wizards believe the inventors are uppity children who have forgotten the power of the old magics. The inventors believe the wizards are old foggies who are resistant to real progress because they don't understand the power of technology. Their fighting has drawn lines of territory across the city.

Malcolm Howell is a young librarian who lives and works right at the division lines of the destructive dispute. On one of his days off, he encounters an odd robotic wolf plushie in a thrift store. Charmed by the stuffed toy, he takes it home, but inadvertantly cuts his finger on one of the little metal fangs on the plush. He thinks nothing further of it, until he wakes up in the middle of the night and discovers that the plush is actually a sentient being, a robot brought to life with lightning magic! The robot wolf demands to be called Sir, and tells Malcolm that he must become a protector of both magic and technology in the city. Malcolm asks Sir why he has to do it. Sir reveals that his bite has made Malcolm not just a cyborg, but also a werewolf! Since Malcolm is now a being of both tech and magic, Malcolm would serve as the perfect bridge between the two sides.

Though initially reluctant, with training and encouragement from Sir, Malcolm has stepped up as the city's defender. Now, Mal Were stalks the streets as the cyborg-werewolf hero the city truly needs!
