Oliver

Oliver studied the bright green potion before it was taken. "Well, either that harpy was really desperate for it, or it saved you from an instant-death potion or something. You're still probably cursed from giving that witch your feather though." He stated, very matter of factly. He nodded at his sister and said, "You should probably tell her what she needs to do. You always did it better."

Layla

"So, now that the witch's potion has been snatched up, us being your body guards is still the best solution. Plus, as long as you stroke her ego, she'll forget all about her threat to you. If, and that's a very big if, you bump into her at the party say things like," She coughed and tried to imitate someone worshipping a god, "You're the best vampire to have ever lived and I'm so sorry for not recognizing you at the market." Returning her voice to normal, "And that's the best way to deal with miss Roxanne Nova."

"Ok," she puts her hand over her forehead and closes her eyes for a second. After she's done with that, she opens her eyes and grabs her cart. "Well, we should probably finish our shopping, I still need one more thing, a lamp for my living room." She says, changing the subject to something less scary to forget about her seemingly inevitable death.

Layla

"Ah, okay. We finished my shopping, so we'll stay with you, alright?" She tri3d for a reassuring smile that all would be well, but she didn't believe so herself. As long as we stay on Roxanne's good side, it'll all be okay.

Oliver

Noting the desperate subject change, he thought he'd help Alyra out. "Well, that's pretty good timing, the movers should be here soon." It is impressive how that witch disappeared so fast that none of us saw it coming.

Dang, that is the third time that someone has mysteriously disappeared today. First the suitcase thief, then the harpy, and now that witch. Alyra looks around for a lamp, wanting desperately to get out of the market. "Aha!" when she finally spots the perfect lamp, Alyra picks it up, pays, and then puts it on her cart. Then she gets a text from the mover that he's in the parking lot. "Just in time," she laughs, showing the text to Layla and Oliver. "Ready to go?"

Cole opened his eyes, peeking at the group, and they started to walk away. He decided he would do no good standing here, not doing anything but silently grieve for Sasha. He could even scent fear on himself, but he didn't know why. He shifted into his coyote form, and ran away from the markets, accidentally bumping the half-breed girl in the process.

"Aah!" Alyra screams, and then glares at the shifter who had just run into her. "What do you want? I have had a really stressful day and if you so much as think about wronging me I will have your head on a wooden stake on the front lawn of Scorchwood high for all to see." She growls at him, learning a little better how to control showing her fear, but her threat sounds empty because her voice is too sweet to be even remotely scary.

Layla

She nodded, ready for this day to be over already. When we get back to our dorms I'm going immediately to sleep. Then I'll wake up and pretend today never happened. But, of course, she spoke too soon again. A shifter bumped into Alyra head-first. "Are both of you okay?" I'm never saying anything remotely jinxing again, at least not today.

Oliver

He had to admit that he was surprised that a shifter bumped into Alyra. And even more surprised by Alyra's threat. "I didn't know you had that in you." She didn't sound super scary, but she said it like a promise, so it was scary enough. "Uh, I'll go take our carts and meet the movers then. If you two want to stay here and deal with everything." So he took everyone's carts and went back towards the parking lot.

Cole stopped, flattening his ears and putting his tail underneath his legs. He whimpered softly, trying to apologize without becoming human again. He didn't have it in him. He'd prefer to stay a coyote, so he wouldn't have to say anything to her.

Alyra rolls her eyes and then turns back to Layla, "sheesh, I can't catch a break." "Do you want to go to the parking lot or grab some food first?" She asks, completely ignoring the shifter but feeling immensely terrible about it.

Cole let out a sigh of relief as the girl left, but felt very sorry for not actually apologizing. Thinking it would be rude to shift now and run back to her, he instead ran in a different direction.
