"I . . . don't think I have an appetite for anything anymore." She couldn't stop thinking of the blood and gore the corpse produced. "I'll happily wait for you to finish your dinner though. And then we can go look for decorations." She tried for a reassuring smile, not sure if she was succeeding or not.

"I would have to agree with my sister that I'm not exactly hungry after that. You know, we met another vampire on the way here who was apparently looked for someone. He seemed really suspicious."

(Wow, I was gone for a few hours and now there's already a murder?! Geez)

Alessa frowned. " Honestly? I don't care, really. But, there is one problem, I don't do Halloween." she said, watching the boy. She checked her surroundings, it's a habit because she never knows when another wolf could be here, waiting for the perfect moment to kill her. " Are you a shifter? I recognize the scent." she said, trying to be friendly but doubting it's working.

Cole
Cole whipped around at the sound. He snarled at the harpy who followed him before bolting off in the same direction he was going but way faster. He was surprised by his sudden speed, but he told himself that he got spooked, so he shouldn't be too surprised. He needed to find what the scent was and fast, before anyone found out he was alive.

Sasha chased after the shifter.
"Hey! Wait! I just want to talk!" She stopped, panting. She hated running.

Ethan sauntered into Scorchwood's main office and nodded at the secretary.
"Hello ma'am. I'm new, I just moved here from... Otisville. (naming a town after my cat, obviously) Would I be able to get my Student ID and room key here?" He smiled his most charming smile.
The secretary looked puzzled.
"I'm sorry, I had no idea we were going to get a new student. What did you say your name was?"
He smiled as the secretary absentmindedly handed him a key.
"Ethan, ma'am. Ethan Steel."

Cole
Cole turned back to the harpy, tilting his head, one of his ears flopping to the side. He padded over to the harpy, sitting down, looking up at her.

(It's what I would've done. Except Willowville sounds weird lol.)

Sasha looked at the shifter.
"Can you... Shift back into human form? It's just that I have a trust issue thing with shifters and it would be easier for me to talk to you if you were in human form because then you look less like a shifter and-"
Sasha stopped, realizing she was rambling.
"Sorry. My name's Sasha. I was following you because I thought I knew you from somewhere...."

"A lot of suspicious things have happened today..." She pays for and eats the food that she ordered, and then gestures to a group of platforms with handlebars and many complicated buttons. "Those are trolleys for rent. Apparently they teleport back here if they go to far away from the market, but I don't believe it, it's already weird enough that they can fly." She thinks for a moment, trying to remember how to operate one of these trolleys, and then clicks a button. The trolley slowly floats up until it is no longer in danger of dragging on the ground. "This thing can cary up to 5,000 pounds! Can you believe it?" "Forget witches, elves are the real magicians, their tech is incomparable to anything I have ever seen!"

Cole nodded, and in a flash, a boy took the place of the coyote. "It's nice to meet you." Cole smiled. " I'm Cole. Cole Forest. Why do you have trust issues with shifters? Wait, I shouldn't ask, I don't mean to pry." he said, looking down.

Sasha nodded.
"No, it's okay. I used.. to be in this...group. It was basically my home. My parents died when I was little, and this group took me in. But then... I did something terrible. Something the group would kill me for if they found out. Nobody knew, except for Maxwell. Maxwell had been my best friend, but we drifted apart and he was jealous...he told the rest of the group. I ran and left everything behind. And now I'm here."
She shrugged, staring at her feet.
"I saw you in the coffee shop and there was something about you..."
She tilted her head.
"I could have sworn I've seen you before, somewhere..."

Cole nodded. Now that he looked at the harpy, Sasha, he recognized her, but he couldn't remember where. " Yeah, you do seem familiar. Is there, anything, or any place, where we could've met, or been friends?" he asked, stepping closer to the harpy, only a step, not too close.

Sasha tilted her head at him. She studied his face.
"I...don't know. I just had this feeling..."
She shook her head. "Never mind. It's stupid. I'm sorry for wasting your time." She started to walk off, before turning back.
"Wait! Now I remember! I was 11, and you and I met at a library and were talking about some book. Then I heard screaming outside. There had been a Wedigo guy who had ran somebody over...."
