Harry potter, Supernatural, Buffy the vampire slayer/Angel , Charmed, True Blood, Being Human

All had a witch or witches (Including evil ones). The first 5 are very popular.

And most movies that have witches in them usualy have evil ones as well. Wizzard of Oz (and most versions of this story), Disney animation, Movies like Hocus Pocus, The witches, Morgana from the king arthur/merlin/excalibur stories is often a witch, the craft (goes into an evil direction) and there are a bunch of animes with evil witches as well.


And Angels have been accepted so there is need to defend angels anymore Rag. I was making a point. Witches are often used, but angels aren't often used in this genre. They are used sometimes if at all. That is not an attack, that is a fact. So if Angels (though modified) and Fae can be a main specie why not Witches?

I also already modified witches as well. I told you all I am fine with using those creepy witches who do not look like humand but make themselves look like one trough magic. They go after kids so that is very monster like behavior. they would not be normal humans. That was what I offerd instead of normal witches even though nornal witches are indeed very popular. I also said having both is also fine but normal human witches who are nice and stick to the rules would not be hunted.

I honestly don't get what the problem is with witches you guys.

Also Rag, I did not say angels and Fae could not be. I had ishues with both, but now that you changes angels I am fine with them. Fae still depends on what Fae will be in this rp.

Shapeshifters have nothing to do with my defending of witches. Though most of the above list also had shapeshifters but that is not my point.

I compared witches because they are well known and well used. And it would not make sense to leave them out when lesser known and popular ones get accepted. Not saying at all that your new angels have to go. Not attacking your angels so relax. They are safe and accepted and a part of the rp. ^^

I am only protesting witches because due to religeuose reasons it somewhat bothers our admin and I don't want her to be bothered even if it is just a bit. I feel the need to do this because she was nice enough to start this rp for us(though we have developed it beautifully). Though she was also kind enough to allow them if everyone else wants them. So I guess I need to type out a formal notice that states all the pors, cons and factors of witches and then asks the participants to take a formal vote. My vote won't count if I am the only person that says we shouldn't have them. Does this sound good?

You may want to take an approach to making witches look normal or even beautiful but have that be an illusory trick and draw victims.

Also we still need to answer the question. How many people are in this??

Because that will deicide how many creatures we need. I mean if there are only four of us then Werewolves Vampires Shifters Angels okay we'er done this argument is invalid...unless we are allowed to have a second character.

I think six diffident people have posted but do we still have six people? Also I am trying to coax a friend of mine to join so all in all we may have seven or more. Also what do we do about new people do we close registration after this is started it is kind of hard to order all the big bad ect if we have one random person entering or does the admin take over that person's Big Bad? Should we have back up species just in-case that happens? I mean we will always have more fae.

Uhm I did offer that as well though. I did say that the witches could make themselves look like different from their normal appearence.

And sadly no I have not seen Hansel and Gretel And I wont lol I saw the trailer, though I liked the concept I saw just a few to many gory scenes. I always get a little i'll with gory stuff. I can read it, but not see it.
(I am very happy that the popular monster hunting shows are not all that gory, because I love the stories with those creatures sadly sometimes it includes to many lost limbs and stuff.

You know what? I just really want to start this rp instead of debating species. I took all this a bit to seriously I suppose.

I love witches but if you guys have such ishues with it I'll drop it.
But in return give me free range for the shifters yeah?

My shifters have different levels and they are (usualy) human. So we drop the witches as a main specie (I can just give them a cameo at some point).

But my shifters are game. (I need my shifters to be game for my made up bad guy to be able to be a part of this, my witch character was not devolped yet so I can still pick another specie )

So Rag and Ruin, What is your concept of Fae in this?

Is Fae a collect name like demons (meaning several species who are similar but diffirent?)
If so do you have a small list with the types of Fae you where thinking mostly about?

And where shall we make the ''book'' with species in it? In other Fiction maybe?

Fea is a collective name for anything from Underhill (Underhill is a realm adjacent to ours will a whole host of other creatures such as elves. Fae are also sometimes called Fairies, Underhill is sometimes called Fairie but it should be noted fairies are there own species in Underhill aswell.) I do not know which Ruinia will choose. You are not on your list I don't know if you are needed or the fact that you posted just naturally adding you. I would advise against making a complete book of fae as not to lock in what we have but just noting what we have an leaving room for more is fine.

I see faes as collective species. So, I don't think I can choose one specific species of a fae as an evil fae species, which means not all of them from one species are evil, some are just mischievous, some are good. There can be pixies, sprites and everything else. Just like other creatures, my character will only hunt the evil ones.

That there are good and evil ones is fine. But I am trying to get a concept. All other species are easy to picture now so I am trying to find out if I would like to play a Fae or not. But before I can do that I would liek to have a basic idea of what it enholds.

So if you could make a small list with what is most commen (this does not mean others can not appear, demons have the same after all) but its just to make me understand Fae better, Underhill doesn't ring any bells sorry.

So basicly could you make a small list like this:
- Pixies
- (Spirits? Like spirits of nature or spirits of dead people?)
- ...
- ...
- ...

Do centaurs, minotaures, harpies and stuff fall into this? Goblins? Trolls? Gnooms? Dwarfs? Leprechauns? Fairies?
(If yes to all above what would the differences be between pixies and fairies, and trolls/gnomes/dwarft/goblins and leprechauns? or do you not yet know and plan to still make that up if these are all indeed fae?)

I can't picture elves as evil (blame lord of the rings) though I suppose the elves your talking about are different then the human looking ones from lotr. If that is true I can live with evil elves. But then what would the differences be between pixies/fairies and elves?

Ruinia I advise you select one particular fae like not as a race but as in one unit that is evil then ether give it a clan or have it solo hate hunters for whatever reason. That way you only need to pick one and then generate lackies when needed. Feel free to Pm me if you want to or need help brainstorming Fae to pick from.

A clan? Hmmm... I was thinking of corrupted sprites, like before the city was built, there used to be a clan of sprites like tree spirits and gnomes that lived there. But when humans started to flock and created a city, the nature surrounding that city started to deteriorate, pollution is high too. So this particular clan of sprites are 'corrupted' by anger and the destruction of their home. They become stronger because the pollution mutated them... And they also become violent when they see humans.

They might look weak, but they have magical properties that could kill humans, also they work in teams. They live near our current city, and always planning for attack to take over our home. I think that's all I can think of... o:
