Dark blue eyes turn heavenward before the girl turns back to him with a sigh of exasperation. Teddy can almost imagine the hand on her hip and the throw of her hair. Surely she doesn't think that she's gracing him with her time? Pretty or not, he's not the type that throws himself at cute girls.

He's definitely not the type to hit someone up for their wolf form of all things. Besides, he thinks, the corners of his lips quirking in the hint of a smile, if I wanted someone with a personality like hers, I'd be looking for a hyena.

Still, Teddy gave an offer, so he persists. "Well," he says, "what are you looking for? If it's a good meal, I can give you a few recommendations, or if it's an outfit for Halloween, I can show you a few places."

(Thanks for waiting! I don't have time to respond in the mornings, so I know it can take a bit. I love how Teddy and Alessa are getting along like a trainwreck haaha.)

Layla

"Good to keep in mind, I might find something I really need there. Like some new tea flavors! Anyway, I think I'll be alright. I rarely take stuff from people for free. And no, I haven't seen that yet. Might be fun to go to?" She shrugged. "At least I get to choose whether to go to this party or not. And if I dont like it, he'll cover for me." She pointed her head towards Oliver.

Oliver

"I'm surprised you'd want to go to begin with. What, have you become some social butterfly all of a sudden?" He asked incredulously. "But I would have to agree that it sounds fun. And if you insist that you don't need my help moving stuff, I'll still come with you anyway. It'll be good to catch up with my sister more."

Sasha continued to follow the shifter, the jumped as her phone beeped. She cursed. I thought I put it on silent!! It was an invite to a Halloween party from someone called .. Roxanne? It must have been a mistake. Sasha didn't know anyone named Roxanne.

She watched the shifter turn, noticing her and her ringing phone. Sasha smiled awkwardly as the shifter bolted. Her face fell.

"We should all go to the party together!" Alyra suggests excitedly. "I've never been to a party before! And it will be so fun to dress up for it!" "Anyway, back on topic I guess, I'll call the driver right now to meet us there in 2 hours. That should be enough time to get some things ready?"

Layla

"Parties aren't as fun as you think. I think two hours should be enough time to find everything, if we can find the correct stalls." She nodded, and considered the shopping adventure they were about to go on. And hope that everything goes well while we're there. I don't think I can handle another situation like this morning.

Oliver

"Don't listen to her, parties are great. Lead the way to the market Alyra." He opened the door for the girls and stepped out of Jitters, but not before saying thank you to Betty. "Plus, dress up parties are great because no one realizes who you are."

After calling the moving truck to pick them and their stuff up in two hours, Alyra also calls and uber to pick up the group and bring them to the market. A sort of creepy-looking wendigo man picks them up, and Alyra is unsettled immediately, sensing something strange about him and wanting to leave the car as soon as possible.

Layla

Layla's senses were going off. Something was wrong with this wendigo, but she couldn't place her finger on it. She decided to stay in the car for now, and if anything happened, fight hard against it. "Hello, sir. How are you doing this fine afternoon?" She somehow said this like an insult.

Oliver

Oliver had a bad feeling about this driver. His protective instincts over his sister was about to go into overdrive when he leaned over to whisper in Layla's ear, "I think we should get out of this car, now." When Layla politely declined, he decided to just sit back and glare through the rear view mirror at the driver.

Surprisingly enough, the three make it to the market with no incidents involving the driver. However, when they get out, his eyes turn black and he shoots a devilish grin to Layla before speeding away, running over a pedestrian and continuing to drive off. "Oh my god!" Alyra screams upon seeing the gore, and covers her head in her hands, having a panic attack. She passes out and falls to the ground, ears ringing and heart beating fast in fear.

Layla

She was absolutely shocked, but managed to go over to the pedestrian. She called for help from the nearby merchants and tried to check for a pulse. She took off her cloak to try and staunch the bleeding. She couldn't even manage to form words after witnessing such a horrible event.

Oliver

Oliver picked Alyra back up, shaken from the experience, but knowing that she couldn't stay on the floor. I knew he was bad news. At least none of us got physically hurt. But that look seemed like a threat to Layla. He put his arm under hers and half carried her to a chair.

(hint: that was foreshadowing to future events, ooo spoooky)

Alyra wakes up after a few seconds. "Where am I?" she asks groggily, and once realizing that she has been picked up she flips out and jumps to her feet, swinging her arms around wildy, and then remembers the recent events. "Dang, why are all of my uber drivers absolute psychopaths?" She mutters to herself. "I need to get out of here. I can't be involved in a murder. It's a long story, but let Layla know to text me when the chaos is over and she leaves the uh... corpse... and goes to look for decor" She tells Oliver, and then runs off into the market.
