I stay a respectable difference from the kit so I don't scare it and sit down. "Hello. Are you lost, little one?" I say as gently as I can.

He turns and looks at you. "I'm not afraid of you!" He says in his little voice. He looks awfully thin. Suddenly he loses grip on the log and slides of, splashing into a puddle. He hisses and tries to claw his way out, but the way he's thrashing it looks like he's a fish. He glares at you.

I ask them why don't they just look for another rabbit.

The one eyed cat scoffs. "What are you? A kittypet? Any cat who lives in the wild knows how rare those things are!" He rolls his eyes.

"Yeesh, sorry! Do you not know the meaning of manners??"

"manners aren't needed if you want to survive." He growls dangerously low. You notice the other cat hasn't been speaking, just listening. "How do you think I lost my eye? That's right, politeness. I was trying to be kind just like you and look at the results. They tore my eye out for getting in their business." He continues, and you realize he is very angry. His tail is lashing in the air. "Take the rabbit." The one eyed cat whirls around. "Take the rabbit." The first cat repeated. "I have changed my mind about this life." He looks at you. "You speak about a warrior code. I would like to hear it." The one eyed cat snarls and leaps at him. "Softie! How dare you give me the rabbit?!"
