Now first I would suggest varying the colors more on your nixi, and show casing two different trait sets if you want it to be a theme. I also suggest some yellow

The first design is only really 2 colors at first glance, Red, and Black. Think about what Artic Barbarians would really wear, probably not deep red and black, because that would stand out like a sore thumb.
The Second design is ok, but maybe add some dusty reds and soften the green.
