"Hehehe," Alyra gives Layla a happy grin before comendeering Layla's notebook and sketching her ideas. "Ok, i'm thinking lavendar, sky blues, shades of purple, sophisticated touches..." after about five minutes of hard work, she turns the notebook around and reveals what she drew. "If you don't like it I can make a new one," She stutters nervously,

Layla

Layla's mouth was hanging open, before she remembered how to control her body. "Wow, uh, yeah that would definitely work. How did you know I'd like that?"

Oliver

"I hope you're planning to be an architect or a home designer with those skills. Or an artist." He looked at his sister, noting she was equally surprised, and continued. "Where did you learn these skills?"

(I didn't draw it, it was sort of like just picking the colors for things and adding different furniture pieces)

Alyra shrugs as if it's nothing special, but secretly she was squealing inside to get such compliments. "You told me you liked lavender, and from the style of your clothing i just inferred the rest," she answers Layla, then turns to Oliver. "From an elementary school art class?" "My family has been on the run ever since I was 10 years old, and the only constant thing I had in my life was a pencil and paper, so I guess I just had a lot of practice." She bows her head. "Everyone has a talent though, Layla can play the Violin, I'm assuming"

Layla

"I suppose that's true. And, yes, I do play the violin but I wouldn't consider myself great. It's just a hobby. Why were you on the run though?" She finally noticed the shifter boy staring at them from the edge of the coffee shop and decided to ignore him for now.

Oliver

"She sells herself short, she's actually quite good at it. And please excuse her blunt behavior, she's not quite used to talking to people this much." This Alyra seems quite insecure about herself. But so is my sister, so I guess their similarities brought them together. He sighed, looking at the design again. "Looks like all the furniture should be easy enough to find."

"It's... a bit of a long and crazy story..." She looks down, saddened. It's my fault. I'm the one who caused it. "We were hiding from humans. They wanted to kill me." Alyra says in a soft voice, and then changes the subject. "Let me finish up a few more things and then we can head straight there." she fakes a smile, her heart still aching. Will I ever see my family again? She sketches away vigorously, fast at work to finish the other rooms in Layla's dorm, and the rooms in her own dorm.

Alessa
Alessa rolled her eyes, but she did need to learn the ropes of Pinevale. She eyed the boy suspiciously before sighing. "Fine, but don't make this look like we're friends now." she snapped, standing up.

Cole
Cole noticed that one of the harpies and the vampire boy both turned to look at him, so Cole looked away quickly. He didn't want to draw any attention to himself. He fought the urge to run back out, and find somewhere else to hang out at. He leaned against the wall by the door, his green eyes flicking back and forth, scanning the coffee shop.

Layla

Layla looked down and bit her lip. "I can understand long stories. My condolences." She nodded her head and faked a smile along with Alyra. "It's alright, I'm in no rush." I never had any desire to go back home before, so why does my heart ache so now? Perhaps I'm becoming too sentimental because Oliver is here. She tapped her fingers on the table to get out the extra nervous energy in her body.

Oliver

Oliver noticed his sister's nervous habits, and reached out to give the most consolation he could. "Well, everyone has their long story and parts of their past they'd rather not dig up. It's only normal." He tried to ease the tension at the table. As well as that, he finally decided that the shifter was likely not to do anything and stopped watching him so closely.

Cole
Cole noticed the vampire boy stopped watching him and let out a deep breath. He ran his fingers through his black hair. He decided to stop looking suspicious and walked up to the counter and ordered a hot chocolate, since he hates tea. He thanks Betty and pays her quickly before walking out. Right before he left, he turned back to the group and tilted his head.
